A good homebase to explore the Valley of Fire area. I never saw a lake shore as the name would imply, but we only slept there so weren't worried about surroundings. Room clean, shower good, noise level low. Actually it was pretty dead in the hotel for this time of year, surprising. Lots of parking and can park close to... More

With such overwhelming high reviews, I expected the hotel to be more than it is. But what it is, is fine. It straddles the budget and mid-range categories. For a budget hotel, it's excellent, for a mid-range hotel, it's lacking. For a hotel near the Valley of Fire, it's excellent. The wifi was a bit spotty, but we still managed... More

Whats not to like about this hotel? And how very helpful they were. My wife became ill and could hardly walk to reception. They helped us contact our Spanish health insurer and arrange for a hospital checkup. They gave my wife a blanket to stay warm in the car as we went off for medical assistance. Fortunately it turned out... More

We had a pleasant stay here 3 years ago. Glad to see the motel is still excellent. Satisfied our expectations for clean, quiet & comfortable. Good breakfast, large enough breakfast area, well maintained, refilled, refreshed as often as needed. Only negative comment I could mention would be that I prefer thicker, fluffy wash cloths. Expect to return.

Four of us stayed at the North Shore Inn - two rooms. Could not have had a nicer experience. Chris and Deborah are perfect hosts for what is basically the only hotel in Overton. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was hot, fresh and pretty good. Would not hesitate to return and/or recommend to others.. If you... More

Clean, comfortable, cheery, recently renovated motel is the best base for exploring the spectacular Valley of Fire State Park and to jump off toward Lake Mead. It's in Overton, about 10 miles north east of the former, farther from the latter, and roughly an hour and a quarter northeast of Las Vegas. Hotel keepers Chris and Deborah Wiggins create a... More

Wow, what a gem in the desert! We decided to get away from Vegas and hike at Valley of Fire. This place was nearby and boy are we glad we stayed here! Great TV selection, which was important so we could watch the Cubs in the World Series. Super nice, clean, and friendly owners. Nice warm breakfast. We would come... More

Clean and huge room, modern with a few détails a bit older (in the bathroom) but everything works fine. Our room was on the second floor and there is no lift, however the person at reception came to help us out with the luggage. King size bed, , desk, chairs and a bathroom in two parts, toilets and shower in... More

On our way to various National Parks we stayed there overnight as a night in Vegas was very unappealing. the bedroom was very comfortable and adequate. We felt very welcome by the receptionist and as always after a long day being able to have a swim was just perfect. We had booked with breakfast... honestly I am sure you can... More

We booked this hotel based on tripadvisor advice. It was a very positive stay: nice, spacious room and bathroom. Relaxing swimming pool, excellent after a long drive coming from Death Valley. Visit of Valley of Fire next day, which was astonishing. I guess if you visit in the evening is even more beautifull. Friendly and helpfull staff, and nice breakfast.... More
