When I lived in Nevada I used to stay at the Cobb Mansion B&B on a regular basis. Paul & Jeff are the quintessential hosts. The house is wonderfully restored, beautiful furniture, historical photos and amazing hospitality. When you arrive you are wonderfully greeted. A tour, fresh guacamole made by Paul and a nice glass wine await your first evening.... More

We stayed in the Cobb mansion for 2 nights in the week before the memorial day weekend. We were the only guests the first night and a second guest arrived for the second night. The mansion is an old Victorian, probably built in the 1880's and filled with a stunning collection of period antiques. We stayed in the Harris room,... More

We had no idea what to look for in a bed and breakfast since we have not stayed in one before; and, we wanted something special for our 10th wedding anniversary. WOW. I believe Cobb Mansion has set the bar crazy-high for any other B&B. We stayed in the Bebe room - each room is named after a Virginia City... More

Absolutely beautiful restoration in this historic old town. Sure the town is now very touristy, but this B&B is worth the trip alone. The hostess is a key part of the stay. She is a font of knowledge about the area and a wonderful cook for breakfast. The building has been completely restored and modernized in terms of amenities. The... More

We very much enjoyed our stay. As usually, the other guests are interesting to visit with and the property was fascinating. The B&B Manager made a point to take us on a tour of the home and talk about the history of Virginia City during a lovely happy hour with wine and homemade guacamole. Breakfast was different the two days... More

We celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary touring Virginia City, Tahoe and Reno. We stayed the first night at the Cobb Mansion.. it was amazing! Andrea left us a note on the door inviting us in (it was after hours) she upgraded our room to the suite and left the lights on leading the way, because it was our 27th anniversary... More

Time to check into our next lodging, the Cobb Mansion. Herman J. Harris bought the empty lots, on which the Cobb Mansion currently sits, after the Great Fire of 1875. It burned most of Virginia City. Mr. Harris owned a cigar shop on C Street and built and lived in it with his wife, Billie, two sons and a daughter,... More

We wanted a place to go that was close to the main street in Virginia City, my son and I had a "Dad Trip". I wanted a place with a balcony or patio since I smoke. And having the old look and feel of Virginia City was a must! It might be hard to make a reservation here, but that... More

From booking through check out we felt welcomed like family. The location is ideal as it is walkable to everywhere in Virginia City. The view from the windows is spectacular. The rooms are splendidly decorated and comfortable. Do take advantage of the happy hour with tour of the house - our group did really well on the quiz questions! Also,... More

Our experience at the Cobb was beyond my facility with words. The accommodations are perfect--comfortable, clean, beautiful, and interesting. The owners and Andria obviously have devoted loving attention to every detail. We travelled there with our extended family, which included three children. Of course, we had cautioned about breakable and valuable items, but Andria assured us that everything was okay.... More
