From the welcoming logs glowing in the fireplace to the last bite of the yummy Morning Glory muffins, our stay at the Kinsman Lodge was delightful. Congenial owners, Chet and Sue Thompson, made us feel so comfortable in their lovely mountain setting in Franconia, NH. The breakfasts served each morning were varied, prepared according to our personal requests, and so...

This is our favorite go to B & B in New England. Breathtaking landscapes surround this quaint farmhouse with its rich history, hand built solid construction. Over ten different bed rooms on the second floor, and plenty of open space down stairs to relax and unwind. Sue and Chet run a tight ship. Immaculate rooms and bathrooms. Breakfast is amazing,...

My husband and I stayed here with our dog for two nights. The location was great for exploring Franconia Notch State Park, and we drove to the Mt. Washington Cog Railway the next day. This was a bit farther, but still definitely doable. Our room, while not luxurious, was very cozy, and it was worth it to have a very...

The Kinsman Lodge provides a warm, comfortable atmosphere and Sue and Chet make you feel right at home. We had the only room with a private bath and the room was large and comfortable as was the living room, dining room, and especially the large front porch. The lodge is a little out of the way and if you are...

I brought my father up to NH for a short hiking trip and I couldn't have picked a better place to stay. Sue and Chet are wonderful hosts. The lodge is ideal for hikers and outdoor enthusiasts. They have a variety of single and double rooms. We booked two single rooms and they were comfortable and very clean. The breakfast...

Sue welcomed us when we first arrived. Showed us to our room and told us the house rules. One item she failed to mention was that the heat isn't left on during the night. We were here for a romantic get-away....and no amount of snuggling could keep us warm. Sue later regretted not telling us to leave our door open...

As a passionate hiker, I have been a guest at the Kinsman Lodge for several years and have been meaning to express my enthusiasm, and made it a New Years' resolution this year to do so! I made the mistake of booking a room for this past Columbus Day weekend, not realizing that traffic from Boston would be horrific. My...

We had a very pleasant stay in October. Innkeepers Chet & Sue were pleasant and very helpful. Lodging was well kept and very clean. Breakfast was awesome with many choices and everything was made from scratch - Sue took no shortcuts. Wish we could have stayed a little longer. Hopefully we'll be back!

Chet and Sue do a wonderful job as hosts and work hard to welcome guests, provide a fantastic breakfast, and provide clean and very serviceable utilities. A true New England BnB experience. Country Lodging pride.

A warm and friendly welcoming to this country lodging. This lodge is that, a lodge, not a high end B&B. While not "elegant", they are cozy and warm, literally and in the spirit with which they offer their accommodations. Their prices are very fair, especially for the GREAT breakfast Sue provides. The wooded rural environment is very serene, beautiful and...
