My wife and I wanted a place to stay in Hanover, NH following a performance of the Christmas Revels at the Dartmouth HOP. A year ago we stayed at the Hanover Inn for this show, and while that place was very nice we wanted something different this year. We selected The Trumbull

Our room was very clean, and we were able to switch to a larger room at the last minute. The manager (Lloyd?) was very nice and accommodating. The breakfast that Lloyd provided in the morning was amazing. Freshly cut fruit, homemade muffins, and a menu with a wide array of

We stayed in the Guest Cottage which was lovely. Our daughter decided to forgo the sofa bed and stayed on campus during our visit. Lloyd’s breakfast was great and he also accommodated a late arrival. The other guests all agreed over breakfast that Harvard would lose which

We stayed 3 nights at this refined 100 yr. old house on 16 acres, just 5 minutes from the Dartmouth Green. The grounds are gorgeous and connect with the Appalachian Trail. The Yellow Room in which we stayed was very comfortable and quiet -- we slept soundly in the king bed.

Thanks for your inquiry, Ayanna! Here in New England we enjoy four distinct seasons and each one has its own unique draws. Our winters are cold and snowy, perfect for winter-sports enthusiasts as we are surrounded by good places for skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing. Visitors who come to New Hampshire in the early spring enjoy the opportunity to see how tree sap is transformed into maple syrup. Summers here are exquisite, particularly since the daylight lasts so long -- until 9 or 9:30 pm in late June and early July. Forests are verdant and lush; the sky is a deep blue, the cumulus clouds puffy and almost painfully bright white and the days are warm and followed by cool nights... but of all the seasons, fall is by far the most popular season for visitors because from mid-September until the end of October the leaves on the trees are blazing red and orange colors, pick-your-own apples and pumpkins opportunities abound at nearby farms, and the air feels clean and crisp. We hope you get a chance to visit!

Our Guest Cottage allows pets so your pooch would be welcome. Our trails are thru the woods. There are fields and meadows around but for groomed trails: Dartmouth Cross-Country Ski Center, (643-6534, ) located at Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH maintains 25 km of groomed trails for classic and skate skiing in 3 areas at Oak Hill/Storrs Pond, Garipay Field and the Dartmouth Golf Course. Trail tickets to these trails can be purchased in the DOC House near Occum Pond, which is on Rope Ferry Road or at the Oak Hill Ticket Booth and Warming Hut, which is located in the Oak Hill parking lot.

"We stayed in "The White Room." Spacious, with queen bed and a couch that I think could pull out and sleep a third."
"Walk the grounds and take the path leading to the Appalachian Trail. Enjoy the solitude and beauty of the deep woods."
"The White Room had plenty of space for our family of 3 adults."
"Lloyd will help you decide on a room based on your needs. ."
"Rooms on second floor have distinctly different (but good) views; suite is not worth extra cost unless this is focal point of your stay."
