My husband and I spend a glorious long weekend at Colby Hill Inn a week ago and had a wonderful experience. The owners were very gracious hosts and immediately made us feel at home. The inn, barn and grounds, oh, and the goats, made this feel very comfortable. The restaurant is top notch and each morning we enjoy awesome breakfasts...

Although we'd made reservations for the Friday night Wine Tasting special, we were seated at a little table against a side wall. All the tables with a view of the back garden were kept empty--for Inn guests who would arrive later, we presume. But it's irritating to be put off to the side in an otherwise empty room, whatever the...

Hi, Priscilla - Generally, wine tastings happen in the parlor with the fireplace or on the patio in good weather. I do not honestly remember why you sat in the main dining room, it could have been due to the weather or that we had a function on the patio and sometimes inn guests do assemble in the parlor. Now...

My wife and I visited this wonderful inn this past week and had an amazing time. We visited some local spots for a taste of New Hampshire history, lovely little antique and specialty shops. We dined at the inn and enjoyed the culinary talents of one of the owneres and his fine staff. We had wonderfully delicious breakfasts and dinners....

We stayed here for two nights this month. The inn is very old but the room that we had was spacious and had a remodeled bath and new king mattress. Upon our arrival we were given a tour of the main floor and shown to our second floor room by the innkeeper. We ate dinner that evening in the restaurant....

Our room was cramped and the grounds were not well kept. Staff was distant and not very friendly. The bathroom was tiny. The closet was bigger. We did like the breakfast muffins. And the egg dish was innovative.

Hello, Elaine - Thank you for staying with us. We understand you chose the smallest room, it might have been that it was the lowest cost room at the time of booking, and then you must have had regrets. I showed you the room and you seemed to like it at that time. I know you were disappointed that we...

If I could give this place another star I would! The new owners pride in their establishment is evident . From the moment you open the door and hear the soothing music, you can feel yourself relax. Beautiful furnishings, antiques galore and the most beautiful wide plank floors I have ever seen! We were in room 2 and it was...

Authentic New England, warm, charming, spotlessly clean, wonderfully attentive staff who go above & beyond, and food to die for. We couldn't have asked for more for our daughter's wedding weekend. Our family, several close friends and the bridal party stayed here. We took over the entire inn.The upper carriage house rooms were a perfect place for the bridal party...

We couldn't get a room at the inn, but we enjoyed our anniversary dinner here, and it was spectacular! Everything on the menu looked fabulous: fresh, interesting, delicious. We started with margaritas, and the warm crusty bread with fresh butter was perfect. For salads, we ordered the fresh green salad with a variety of lettuces from the garden, and the...

Our stay was brief but this place was absolutely wonderful. Charming old home/carriage house style place. Affordable. Great breakfast. Large, beautiful property with gardens and open lawn. Also there are goats. I would come back again if traveling through New Hampshire!
