Rockywold-Deephaven felt like the summer camp of my youth except whole families come here AND the cabins are much nicer of course. It's a great mixture of old and new with very nice dining halls and good food. Having a dock at each cabin makes each cabin feel like a private little haven on beautiful Squam Lake. The playing fields... More

I stayed in a room above the office and other than the door latches being a big too loud, it was a great room. The large group I was spread out between the Lodge, one of the cabins and the Office. We were able to gather easily and go from Dock to Cabin, to dining room and church island. Great... More

RDC is a place my family has been going for my entire life. It is a gift that my grandmother gave to our family. It is better than any present because it is a gift of memories that can be revisited forever. It is a gift of friendships that last a lifetime. It is a gift of family connection and... More

I was there from May 18 till September 8. This place is realy great! So many views to see, so many nice cabins to live in, people are very friendly, staff is exellent. Also you cam meet there a lot of sweet wild animals: raccoons, skunks, squirrels. Sometmes you can meet black bears by Rattlesnake. So, yep. This place is... More

This was our first time back to Rockywold in about 10 years as we bought our own cabin, which was chosen because of its likeness to Rockywolds cabins. My husband and I went for their 2nd Annual "Dog Week". We brought our 2 dogs , hoping our 10 y.o. Schnauzer poodle would behave. He tends to bark in certain situations,... More

We actually stayed in 2 cabins. The first two nights the camp was very busy so our cabin was a very rustic cabin that is on the list to be updated. We then stayed in a cabin that had been updated and it was wonderful. None of the cabins nor eating hall is air conditioned. The food is very good... More

We visited the camp for two nights for friends' sons' wedding. Accommodations are quite variable, and we shared a three bedroom cabin/one bath with two other couples; it worked out but was not ideal. Every cabin has its own dock but some are further from the water than others. The setting is very beautiful (think "On Golden Pond") but of... More

I have loved Squam Lake in New Hampshire for many years, but it can be hard to find a good place to stay. If you can plan ahead of time (March?), and you like old timey, rustic camp-style, I highly recommend Rockywold-Deephaven Family camps. The rooms are quite small and spare, bu the beds are comfortable enough. The buffet-style meals... More

As others have said, words can't describe the beauty surrounding RDC. Cabins are rustic but wonderful. What do I remember? The sound of loons at night; hiking up the nearby mountains, swimming in the pristine lake; playing tennis; sailing in a sunfish; kayaking across the lake; talent show on Thursday, square dance on Friday; picnic lunch on Wednesday with balloon...
