This hotel was a highlight in our tour of New England and has so much more character than the modern chain hotels. It is 160 years old and therefore inevitably is a bit creaky but it is well equipped. It has two sitting rooms for clients to use, one of which is a gorgeous wood panelled room with a wood...

Thank you Carol for your excellent feedback. It was our pleasure to serve you while you were visiting the White Mountains. Room 8 is one of the most spacious rooms in the main building, with a king size bed (brand new!) and 2 twin beds. Most of our bathrooms are on the smaller size, including the shower stall, but are...

We returned here for the second year as our base for our annual New England Fall Foliage photo workshop. Freddie and Thierry are charming hosts, and our participants always feel welcome. In fact, we have already booked for next year's workshop. Freddie is a wonderful cook, and the breakfasts are marvelous. There are always gluten-free options. The Lodge is on...

Thank you for your excellent feedback and advice: all our rooms are indeed different in size, decor, and rate. Some are very small and priced accordingly, some are one or two bedroom suites with kitchenette, some are on the first floor and some are on the third floor. They are all well described on our website with pictures and even...

As always, we were welcomed, felt at home in the relaxing and cozy rooms. Very close to attractions, restaurants, shopping, yet tucked away in a quiet location. The breakfast is indeed an incentive to leave your warm bed, delicious every morning. Served in a bright, clean dining room overlooking the woods and brook. My husband and I, and our two...

Nice quiet location, wonderful owners and great breakfasts. We stayed in one of the 1st floor loft rooms and the room was a little tired with very creaky floors. I dread to think how it sounded downstairs. The setting was very nice and peaceful yet close enough to town for restaurants etc. The owners and breakfast would tempt us to...

Thank you very much for sharing your comments. The entire floor/carpet of the second floor of the loft building was completely redone in 2013. There is unfortunately nothing we can do about the slightly “creaky” floor but we can ensure you that we never had any complaints from any of the rooms on the first floor. We hope that you...

Wonderful location - quiet location yet only 5 minutes from local shops and amenities. Great helpful hosts and gorgeous breakfasts - what more could you ask for. So convenient for the nearby mountains and trails. Ideal base to visit the area.

Thank you for your excellent feedback. We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Cranmore Mountain Lodge is tucked away from the main roads, in a very quiet residential area, yet closed to all attractions, restaurants, shopping and hiking trails. We hope you will travel again our way!

Once again, we had a great stay at Cranmore Mountain Lodge. Frederique is so friendly, and makes such an awesome breakfast. The breakfast in the dining room is like a Bistro in Europe, and it would be worth a stay, just for that..The grounds are beautiful , and the place is so quaint, and has a great history...Close to everything, too..Stay...

My family and I recently spent a week-end at Cranmore Mountain Lodge. Once again we had a very relaxing , enjoyable week-end here. Cranmore Mountain Lodge is an annual stay for the three of us. Our 9 year-old son has practically grown up there, and insists on the room with the bunk beds. He says that's "home away from home" for him! We use all parts of the well-kept, photogenic property, from the pool, to the stocked pond, to the river out back,...

It had been a long time since I had spent a night at the Cranmore Mountain Lodge, and it will be a long time before I try it again if ever. I had to withdraw a recommendation to stay here that I had made to a good friend. The grounds were unkept. Flower beds hadn't been weeded. Long grass along...

We are glad you appreciated our accommodations, our service and our breakfast, but are very disappointed to hear that you found we weren’t taking good care of the grounds. After your comments about the painted surfaces and outdoor pool chairs, we checked every surface and didn’t find any mold whatsoever. We do not know when you stayed with us but...
