Have the pleasure to meet Andrew and Dustin, to stay one night in this warm cosy place, where you are truly a guest, with friendly hosts. This is exactly the same as being hosted by a close friend, with rooms to spare, choose the one who fit best, install yourself, I will grab us a beer, indulge yourself with anything...

Great boutique hotel near all the action of downtown Portsmouth. Hospitality was excellent. Craig was there the 2 days of our stay and he provided restaurant tips (all of which were excellent) and chatted about the hotel and Portsmouth. Very friendly and relaxed environment. The hotel provides a free beer on check-in and has snacks and coffee available in the...

I chose the Ale House Inn in Portsmouth NH which is part of the Lark Hotel chain because of its location and also because I had recently visited two other Lark Hotels on Nantucket. We were not disappointed with our stay at the Ale House. The inn is just a block or less from most dining, restaurants and other downtown...

Very clean. Comfortable bed. Nice linens. Great toiletries. Love this place! Close to restaurants and shopping. Safe for solo travelers. Portsmouth, NH is one of my favorite places to visit. I will stay here every time I visit.

When making my reservation at the Ale House, I specifically inquired about available parking. I was advised in September that a resurfacing project at the church parking lot used by hotel guests would be finished by the end of the month, so went ahead with my October 25th reservation. Had I known that parking would still be an issue—and it...

We live close to Portsmouth. It is a charming wonderful city that has wonderful food and fascinating history. We decided to spend the night in and very glad to have chosen the Ale House Inn. It is well situated between downtown and Strawbery Banke. It is very easy to walk to where ever one would like to go. The staff...

Typically on vacation we stay at chain hotels on points, but wanted something a bit different for an anniversary weekend getaway. Found Ale House Inn online, and I am super glad I did. The Inn (10 rooms total) was right downtown and had free parking. The rooms were beautiful (much nicer features than my house frankly) and they included free...

The entrance to the inn is 'quirky' - there are steps up (as they warn you about), then a bland lobby area, then a lift, then into the inn... But it's a really nice place once you get there! All the staff we encountered were friendly and professional and the room was not bad in size, very modern in decor...

We stayed at this quirky little hotel in Portsmouth...and loved it. The staff was welcoming...and the bed was amazing. Everything was clean, and cozy...and there was a well-stocked snack bar. I love the feel of exposed brick and true character. This building does not lack charm. We had a great time.

Nice location right on the water but no water views. You have to park about 100 yards away yes it's free. You must then carry your luggage up 20 or so stairs. Go in a hallway into a small elevator. You have 2 real keys one for the room one for the building kinda neat but kinda a pain. Staff...
