Stayed in a family suite for 4 nights with my husband and two (chronologically) adult boys. Skied at Cannon - with discounted tickets - one day. My husband and I hiked/snowshoed while the boys skied the other days. Carlsons is close to several ski areas - we've been to Bretton Woods, Loon, and Wildcat, so also tried Attitash this trip....

Carlson's is home away from home for us on winter break. Carol, Will, Cait and the whole family are extremely friendly, helpful and great hosts. If you want to relax by a big fire on a comfy couch, and be close to key destinations nearby without being at a tourist trap, you couldn't do better than this. Best lodge ever!

Carlson's Lodge is an old country inn with 24 rooms. The owner, Carol, takes great care of her customers. For those who love the outdoors, this is the place to stay in either summer or winter if you want to be near Mt Washington. You can hike or bike in the summer and ski, snow shoe, or snow mobile in...

Ideally located within easy driving distance to hiking and skiing, WMNF, food and drink choices, and breathtaking scenic views. Carol was so friendly and helpful that I canceled plans elsewhere to book with them, and we didn't regret it! Rooms were clean and nicely appointed and the atmosphere was cozy and relaxing. We highly recommend staying here and will gladly...

I had not been to Twin Mountain in years. We stayed several nights at Carlson's and it was terrific. Location is good for access to Northern New Hampshire and Mount Washington. Our room was big and bright. The folks at Carlson's could not have been more helpful. Best value for the dollar on our whole trip.

Wasn't sure what to expect when booked online. Decided to take a chance on a non chain room. Found lodge to be a beautiful stop on a long trip. Home style atmosphere along with clean and roomy rooms. First time asked if we would be late tonight as they turn off the door lights but they would leave them on...

We were desperate to find a place to stay and found Carlson lodge on Google. We lucked out big time. Carol, who runs the lodge, is so friendly and pleasant. We felt like we were staying at her home...in the "lobby" and basement, there was a fireplace, a cute lodge cat, piano, game room, and tons of videos and pictures....

We road tripped up New England and spent two nights here. It was absolutely lovely. The sisters who owned the place was very nice, and helpful. They gave us some excellent restaurant recommendations. The room was decent sized, clean and comfortable. It had an amazing arm chair which was so comfy, wished they had two in the room. There is...

We ended up in New Hampshire a little late on in Autumn and most things are shut. Turned up late afternoon here and Expedia had managed to only book us one room instead of the two I had paid for. Looking at the hotel on the outside, it looks like a normal run of the mill motel HOWEVER when you...
