I traveled to the Mountain View Grand with a large family. I left ended up feeling like all I did was WAIT TO BE FED! We had small children with us and made a dinner reservation for 6pm. We were served our meals at 8:30! The waiters were nice, but the kitchen seemed totally unprepared to handle the amount of...

It is elegant and historic and beautiful. The staff are solicitous of your comfort and well-being in a subtle helpful way. There is so much to do for couples and families; farm visits, ax throwing, golf, hiking, swimming, reading on the porch, and the amazing soaking spa tub at the very top of the resort. The view from there is...

Grandparents, children, and grandchildren all had a wonderful time here. The hotel is beautiful, and the staff friendly and professional. There was plenty to do for all. My 2 grown sons got hooked on the axe throwing-- what a hoot. Ms. Baker gave them lessons and they had a great time. We would like to make this a destination for...

Everything was excellent at the hotel. Something for everyone. We stayed 4 nights. We are a family with 3 children aged 21,19,14.Noone wanted to leave after 4 nights, which is unusual. Highlights were spectacular views, nice golf course, Miss Baker and Ax throwing were so fun, the fitness center is very nice, playing checkers on the Veranda in the afternoon...

All members of our family of five loved our visit last week to the MVG resort. The historic hotel is well run, beautifully maintained and we found all of the staff to be very helpful and attentive. Our 10 & 14 year old boys enjoyed the outdoor chess set & looked forward to spending time playing ping pong, foosball, or...

This is our second time visiting the resort and we enjoyed it even more this time! One night at the resort, we ate dinner in the main dining area. My son had a toy pumpkin with him - our waitress, Melissa, made conversation with him about pumpkins and offered him a pumpkin from her very own garden. Of course, my...

the view from the large porch is to die for and the setting that offers a better than 180 degree view of the mountains quite breathtaking. It was a lovely day and we stopped to relax and have beer, wine and the best ginger beer (3 of us) after enjoying a stroll around the property and visiting the barn with...

I had a great time at the Mountain View Grand Resort and Spa this August for a week long doctoral residency! The entire atmosphere of the resort was perfect. The views were incredible. A highlight for sure was ax throwing with Ms. Baker. Great Fun!! We laughed so hard. I will definitely be back for a personal visit.

I certainly agree that the overall property and views are stunning. This is a great place for rest and relaxation. The front porch is the hotel's greatest asset, but also the great hiking/walking trails, outdoor pool, and mountain setting. The other assets have been documented, so I'm going to focus on areas for improvement. My number one concern about this...

With all due respect, this situation has not been accurately described and warrants further clarification. I am very sorry the child was injured during a recent stay. The safety of our guests and employees is our first priority. The resort playground is located directly adjacent to the children’s activity center. The playground and center are the hub of all family...
