We have stay at cape resorts property before but this was the first time at the Star Inn. Cape May in general on off season is the best place to escape to relax and the Star so helped us achieve that goal. No kids in the Inn part, a little cafe to get snacks and coffee, room we has #6...

So, we had a bumpy start with this hotel because of some rescheduling issues through Expedia, but thankfully they were resolved. I am so happy that we rescheduled because this is a lovely place to stay. It was our first visit to Cape May and the location was perfect. Right across the street from Congress Hall which has great places...

This motel is very near to the downtown pedestrian mall. Being off-season, check-in was at Congress Hall. The employees were very pleasant. The room was clean but very, very small. We certainly could have used more storage space for our clothes. Due to lack of dresser drawers and the size of the closet, we lived out of our suitcases the...

We usually stay at Congress hall or B&B but we booked late and had a summer credit at the Star Inn. There is no upside to this place vs CH. Rooms are nothing more than place to sleep being they are right with little room for movement. This was about convenience being right next to CH. Outside of that there's...

The Star, affiliated with the Congress Hotel, comprises three buildings - a restored Victorian, a carriage house, and a motel-like building. We stayed in the Victorian, in a room with a queen-sized bed. The room was tiny; and I'm not convinced the bed was queen size - more like a full sized bed. There was just enough space to walk...

Stayed one, off-season night in this rehabbed Victorian house. Perfect location 1/2 block from beach & 1/2 block from pedestrian area with shops & restaurants. Of course in January not much is open. Must be bustling in high season. Our room had a terrific view of the beach, good bed and adequate but a bit frayed decor. Things to consider....

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay for a reasonable price at the Star hotel. It's a sister hotel to Congress hotel that has bed & breakfast feel. It's minutes from the beach, walking mall, shopping, and delicious restaurants ( George's!). From my impression, I think couples will enjoy this location the most, little small for more than two...

Stayed in the Carriage Suite. A most wonderful one evening stay. Keeping in mind that the lodging is a renovation of an old structure, the accommodations were first class with the refinements of the room making this a first class stay. the room was neat, clean and classic with a flair of modern appliances and ceiling fans. Bed linen was...

For my daughter's 16th birthday, she did not want a party and instead wanted to go away. She chose Cape May. After doing much research, I chose the Star Hotel based on other reviews and I liked that it had a separate kitchen/living area. The accommodations were perfect. We were on the second level in room 24. From our unit...

We stayed in room 01 which is a small room... think some European hotels or old New York properties . It was comfortable and airy. The bed and linens were luxurious . The room was very clean and tastefully decorated. We checked in late and had to find our way to the Congress Hotel front desk (which because of the...
