This was our first Exit 0 Jazz Fest in Cape May but not our first time at the Bacchus Inn. The hospitality was great as always and there were new breakfast items and new wines served. This bed and breakfast is located within walking distance from almost all of the jazz venues and restaurants. The Bacchus will always be our... More

My girlfriend and I were celebrating our 5 year anniversary and happened upon this place by total accident! It is two old Victorian houses so be prepared for the strange, meaning rooms are odd shaped, lots of stair cases, etc. When you stay in a home from the 1880's you must adjust. John and his staff were awesome, not only... More

Another great visit at the Bachus Inn, fall is a great time to enjoy this gorgeous historic home. Huge porch lined with rocking chairs, watch the horse drawn carriages while having wine and cheese at tea time. Different rooms to fit every budget. We like a King bed, so it's a larger room, but they are all beautiful. The Inn... More

This was our 4th stay with John & Lisa at The Bacchus Inn. It is the perfect place for us to stay. The breakfast is always fantastic and different. The location is perfect. The rooms are beautiful. But, John the Inn Keeper is fantastic. He really makes your stay fun and enjoyable. He is a wealth of information on local... More

We took a three day hiatus to Cape May and stayed at the Bacchus Inn and it was wonderful. Well appointed with antiques and comfortable beds. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful in directing us to various dinner places. Possibly the best part of the stay is the wine and cheese in the afternoons. When you meet a new... More

My second time there. Can we adopt John? You feel like you are coming home to family you haven't seen in a while. Time to catch up, a glass of wine, laughing and friendship. The best place to stay in Cape May. Can't wait for next year!

We recently stayed at the Bacchus Inn for the first time after recommendations from two separate sets of friends. It's a delightful place to stay - beautiful, comfortable, and the height of hospitality. The breakfasts were gourmet, the afternoon wine and cheese always excellent, and John (the host) is charming and fun. We definitely recommend it and will stay there... More

We had the Most amazing time this Labor Day weekend, despite all the Hermine drama! The Bacchus Inn is such a rare and amazing find. I'm not sure where to start! We found the Bacchus Inn years ago, soon after Lisa & John purchased the properties. They have worked extremely hard over the years to improve the property but from the start have excelled in service and hospitality. With only four days in Cape May each year, we want to be guaranteed a fabulous time, and the Bacchus does not disappoint.... More
