We just returned from a 3 night stay at the White Dove Cottage. It's relaxing with a great porch and truly located close to both Washington Mall and the beach. Allison (the owner) really thinks about here guests. Our room had a sitting room which was perfect for our little dog. The room had wine glasses and an opener on... More

Spent two nights this week at the Cottage. Our room was outstanding and I told Allison, the owner, the mattress was better than our mattress at home. Breakfast was very good and my wife and I enjoyed hearing the stories of the White Dover each morning with Allison. This was our third stay at this B&B over the last 15... More

We needed a weekend get away at Cape May, and we needed to take our geriatric little dog with us. We had the room in the back with a sitting room (immediately claimed by the dog) and jacuzzi. Breakfasts were divine and Allison goes out of her to be accommodating. An easy walk to the beach and the shops and... More

Had a great weekend in Cape May. Allison was very, very helpful. Location was great for shopping and dining. Also close to properties that were on the Candlelight tours. Breakfast was excellent. Rooms were clean and quaint.

My wife and I have stayed at the White Dove Cottage about a half dozen times in the past, and actually have gone enough where we saw a new owner take over. The only difference between owners is that this one has tons of pictures of horses on the walls. This is a delightful Inn with attractive, comfortable rooms, nice... More

We brought our two small dogs with us on vacation last summer and got a private suite with its own entrance at the White Dove. The backyard was absolutely wonderful, we could let the dogs safely romp around as we drank our morning coffee. You have the very nice option of joining other people for breakfast if you want some... We chose this B&B because it was dog-friendly and it was a great choice. Our suite had a private, side entrance to a fenced-in yard that was great for our small dog. The location is very good; in between the beach (2 blocks) and the main shopping mall-street (2 blocks), but the street was residential and quiet; all restored Victorians,... More

I booked the White Dove Cottage on 10/5/13 for a 3 day stay on 10/21/13. My girlfriend was taken to the emergency room on 10/18/13 and was diagnosed with cancer. Her first doctor's appointment was set for 10/21/13, so I called and asked to move the reservation to 10/28/13. White Dove accommodated my request. During the appointment, the doctor wanted... More

I stayed at the White Dove Cottage last week with my fiancé and my dog. We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend. The bed and breakfast is located on a quiet street only two blocks from the beach and numerous restaurants. We stayed in the Lady Susann suite which was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. We enjoyed sitting on the porch... More

“Some rooms are located on the third floor -WALK UP ONLY - Lord Jason room is extremely small (on the third floor). If walking up stairs is an issue ask for a second floor room, or room in the back of the house such as the Lady Susan room.”

“Try the suite with private entrance if you would like some extra privacy. In addition to a bedroom and full bath, you also get a sitting area.”

“The higher you go, the smaller the room gets. Afterall, it's a house so by the time you get to the 3rd fl, you're in the attic. If you're looking for a very small, cozy room, go for rooms 5 or 6 on the third floor. We stayed in 6 and except for a bit of creaking of the bed, it was just fine for us.”
