We wanted a "nearby" campground to check out our equipment prior to heading out to Utah for a week. After searching through many dreadful reviews (primarily restrain/shower facilities) we found Camp Taylor. Yes, there are rules as others mention, but every campground has them. Camp Taylor takes them seriously so you can be assured a pleasant stay - no rowdies...

We rented a seasonal site for the 2014 season. We loved every minute. We had a great site with lots of privacy and trees. The campground is very peaceful and quiet at night. You can even hear the wolves howling in the distance at night. The folks that run the camp are proud of their camp, and as well they...

I first tented at Camp Taylor over four years ago and instantly fell in love with the beauty of the surroundings, the pristine condition of the common areas and the Taylor family and friends that make Camp Taylor a safe and enjoyable camping experience. Since then, I have camped in the rustic cabins, deluxe cabins and since last July, have...

The site itself may be nice. But unless you have absolutely no interaction with the guy who runs it (which is nearly impossible, since he is clearly a control freak) you will not have a happy, relaxing experience. You can tell enough by the hostile signs when you first drive in. This guy has absolutely no people skills and runs...

Since you didn’t specify any particular instance of why you were given an attitude other than from the signs when you pull in, it is difficult to address your comment. However in respect to the signs when you enter that you describe as hostile, let me point out the only signs we have in our entrance is the wolf preserve’s...

As the type of girl who was never really excited about the idea of camping in a tent, Camp Taylor was able to really change the way I feel about camping. The site was great and really welcoming. The owner was at the office and store and gave us a quick overview of the area as we had never been...

Typically when you're camping you have to sacrifice either gorgeous setting for friendly people, or clean bathrooms for a gorgeous setting, but Camp Taylor has all three in spades. My boyfriend and I love camping and arrived on Friday September 5th around 5 PM. We had to move our reservations twice this summer due to last minute planning problems, so...

Please look at other places before you go here. This place has the worst service ever, they actually yelled and disrespected my 26 year old special education wife! We came out and said we had a dog but apparently they don't allow it. The lady we made a reservation with didn't mention that we couldn't bring the dog even though...

Everyone is informed when reserving a rental that pets are not permitted. No one on our staff would have told your wife differently. There is a spot on the form to check off as they take the reservation to be sure the firewood and pet policies are stated. Your reservation had both spots checked. Your wife told us she found...

The camp was quiet at night. We sat around the campfire listening to the crickets, bullfrogs and wolves. So wonderful. Plenty of areas to hike to. Such a pretty area. We loved the lake and its swimming area. The lake bottom at the swimming area was soft and sandy, which I loved because my feet are sensitive. There is a...

Spent a summer weekend here with my 6-year old on on our first camping trip together. We ended up in site #3, which was the closest tent site to the camp store/showers, etc. but was completely secluded and felt as if we were in the middle of the woods. Full vegetation surrounds most of the sites, so you have the...

We decided to make Camp Taylor our homebase while visiting NYC. We were basically just there to sleep and shower. Our site was beautiful and very private. We stayed there for 3 week nights (Tues to Thur) so the campground was very quiet. The only exception would be the sounds of the crickets - Katydids! We heard the wolves at...
