I have always wanted to have an overnight in a Castle. Skylands Manor more than filled my need. It is nestled in the center of New Jersey Botanical Gardens. What a perfect setting. The Castle itself is breathtaking. A perfect place for a wedding. Several weddings were being planned while we were there. Every nook and cranny is filled with... More

This is a lovely and quaint mansion where you can step back in time. MARGIE the inn keeper was awesome! She made us feel right at home and was more than accomodating. The breakfast was excellent as well. This is a beautiful home that we thoroughly enjoyed visiting. We will definitely be back again.

Enjoyed our stay in the Queen Antoinette Suite. Beautiful view of the gardens, magnificent suite with huge leaded glass windows, I could see the stars from bed at night. The castle has a rich history with woodwork imported from Germany, Scandanavia and other countries. Enjoyed roaming through the main rooms and reading about the history of each room. Loved walking... A short break away from the big, bad City at the beginning of summer break for the dear wife, …but didn’t want to have to drive too far. Found this seemingly amazing deal on one of my favorite “deal” sites: Groupon. And it certainly is a great deal for the location and price: two nights in a “genuine” castle in... More

Incredibly beautiful / peaceful grounds and mansion. Both the Queen Antoinette and King Arthur suites were a good deal for the $129/night that we paid thru Groupon. Continental breakfast was more than adequate with home made baked goods, bagels, breads, fresh juice, and coffee/tea. Some things related to service were not to my liking. 1) Check-in at 4:00 pm, no... More

My wife and I stayed for two weekday nights and had a fantastic time. There was only 1 other room occupied the first night but early arrivals for a weekend wedding started filling the place up on the second night but you could only know of their presence in the public areas - the rooms were very quiet. We made... More

It's a castle, how cool is that? It was really pretty. The rooms were roomy and clean. We did go exploring after we checked in. How could you not? The gardens outside weren't in full bloom, but they were still lovely. My son and I really enjoyed going for a walk before breakfast. Breakfast itself, continental to say the least.... More
