Before the advent of Mc Mansions along the shore there were many small hotels/motels within walking distance of the beach. This is one of the remaining motels and one of the nicest. Not the latest in trends, but neat, clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and Laurie provided all the help we needed to make our 2 night...

This is a four star place -- small, original bathroom, few amenities, yet it warrants five stars for things like the following: it was immaculate! I cannot recall a cleaner room in my many travels. The beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable -- a genuine and welcome surprise. The staff is very accommodating -- we interrupted housekeeping two times one...

The Colonial is the cutest little old fashioned motel--the kind my family and I stayed at in the 1950s. This one is in the gorgeous shore community of Stone Harbor, NJ, and offers a budget option to the expensive hotels in the area. Some of their units even have small kitchenettes. (Actually, the regular rooms have refrigerators and microwaves) You...

very clean quaint motel, very friendly helpful staff, stayed there in October. throwback retro 50s/60s bathroom with tile of the period, Queen Ann furniture. Room was just the right size for a 3 day weekend for the two of us. Close to beach, shopping. Would return.

We usually rent a house for the week in June, however this year our schedules wouldn't allow a whole week. We selected the Colonial for its location and reviews. We were very happy with the accommodations, particularly the cleanliness. The staff were friendly. We would go back there again with out reservation.

My husband and I wanted to spend a few days in Stone Harbor and the Colonial Lodge came to mind. We remembered that it had nice "curb appeal". We were not disappointed. We booked the "motel room". It was a perfect size for the two of us - two queen beds and a small sitting area by the front bay...

My husband and I stumbled across this cute little motel online when planning a last minute weekend trip to the shore. We had never been to Stone Harbor, so we only had online reviews to go off of when choosing our lodging. We couldn't have been more pleased! Although the office closes at 10pm, they gladly accommodated our late check-in....

The Colonial Lodge is located in the heart of Stone Harbor, one of Jersey's most charming towns. It has been managed for years by the same family, whose top priorities are hospitality, service, cleanliness and the utmost friendliness. Fashioned in the Williamsburg style, rooms are tastefully decorated and feature up-to-date amenities. Just outside the door is a bike lane, where...

The Colonial Lodge is small, friendly and a great place for a family vacation. CLEAN, FRIENDLY, close to town and the beach, who could ask for more? With so few places to stay in Stone Harbor, we've stayed in all but one of the motels and this one is the best which is why we keep coming back.

We have stayed and enjoyed the Colonial Lodge for the past six years. Great folks who run this place. Quite location, short walk to the beach. Bathroom is small but are you really at Stone Harbor to hang out in a bathroom? Our room has a fridge and a kitchenette . Porch with tables and chairs for an afternoon drink...
