We simply cannot say enough wonderful things about the hotel, the staff and our stay! Can't wait to go back next season!!!! And there's an ice cream store attached....does it get better than that!? Close to beach and boards. Love the private balcony.
This was a wonderful hotel in wildwood crest. Close to the boardwalk and beach. Friendly staff, clean and beautiful. It was bike week so there was tons of motorcycles but it was still fairly quiet. The rooms block out the outdoor noise nicely. Pool was...More
From the moment we arrived the staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very nice, we had a type C, and although I have stayed at a lot of hotels in WIldwood, Water's Edge Ocean Resort is now my new favorite. The room...More

Sorry for the late response. Yes, you can easily walk to the beach, although the distance you would have to walk from Water's Edge to the shoreline seems like roughly a mile. While I have never been to North Wildwood's beach, I can say the beach closest to this hotel does seem pretty crowded, but the beach is bbig enough that I had no problem finding a place to set my stuff.
Additionally, while the distance from the hotel to the end of the boardwalk is only a few hundred feet, and although there are some games and stores right there, you have to walk considerably longer to get to the main attractions (rides, arcades, etc.).
