This was our first experience of going on a safari and we weren't disappointed. The drive to the Lodge included a 45Km section on unpaved roads with after rain the day before we arrived made for a hair raising drive. Once checked in at reception we were driven to the Lodge itself about 10 minutes away. The Lodge is sensational, built of wood and glass with separate airy areas at reception, guest lounge, bar and restaurant as well as treatment rooms. The rooms are in separate bungalows situated below the main lodge and each is beautifully designed with private decks overlooking the stunning views that extend for miles. The staff were excellent, especially our game ranger, Goo Goo who was knowledgeable, engaging and fun to be with. The morning and evening game drives were obviously the highlight of the visit with lots of opportunities to get very close to all the animals we had hoped to see. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all excellent. All the staff we encountered during our stay were genuinely friendly and exhibited a true pride in the special place they worked. Kuzuko Lodge truly is a PLACE OF GLORY.…

Where do i start? This place is totally amazing, from check in to check out. We were greeted by Patrick and shown around the lodge and our tour was finished with a traditional hand massage. We literally dumped our bags in our room and geared up for the afternoon Game Drive. Shaun, our Ranger and guide was awesome. Not only was he a great lad, his knowledge was unparalled. We set off in search of the animals. Although some animals have tags on them, they only send out 'pings' 4 times a day so you still have to find them as they are wild, and have an enormous roaming area. We saw all the 'boks', elephant, giraffe, rhino, cheetah, lions, buffalo, baboons, monkeys and all manner of smaller animals on our 2 daily drives, and each was finished in a fantastic view point, with, in the morning, coffee and snacks and the evening, beers/drinks and snacks and a chat amongst ourselves. We were spoiled for most of our stay as there were just us and another couple in the jeep so we had the freedom to see what we wanted. I still can't believe we were there!!! The rooms are single lodges with a small deck overlooking the reserve with amazing views and are lush. Beds are comfy with a bath and shower and tea/coffee making facilities. There is a tv but we never switched it on. The view was too good from the deck. The food was amazing too. Flavours to die for and a bonus is the booze is soooo cheap compared to home so a nightcap or two at the end of the day was a must. You have to try a 'Sprinbok' shot. Yum!!! All the staff were top notch and friendly and couldn't do enough for you. I could go on for ages but still won't have enough words to describe the incredible stay we had. In short, if you want a safari that is as natural as possible and non commercial (as most seem to be), book Kuzuko. You will not regret it. Thank you to all the team there, Shaun our 'Danger Ranger', Siya, Shi Ann, Patrick, Theresa, Xicona to name but a few that made our stay the most memorable it could be…

People at Kuzuko Lodge make the difference, they are outstanding! Especially for us as a family, it was an awesome place. Kids are really welcome. They even gave a soccer ball to us without asking for. There playground was a good change after sitting during game drives. It‘s a great resort to see more at Greater Addo and relax a bit. Food is fantastic and gives a good variety.

We stayed in Chalet 20. If you're trying to find a place with 5-star treatment in nature - then truly, look no further. We just stumbled across Kuzuko Lodge online and were taking a risk based on their website and a few other reviews. We are SO glad we did. Everything about our stay was *perfect*. I even got an upset belly while there and the staff called to the room to check on me (my husband and son were out on a game drive) and they packed me a meal and brought it to my room - one that would be good for my belly. Every single attention to detail was paid and any request we made, they treated it like it was easy and they made it happen (even though I know we requested some things that were above and beyond). Patrick, Teresa, and Zee made sure that everything we could desire was provided for us. Shaun was the best game driver anyone could ask for - funny, knowledgeable, and good at finding all the animals we hoped to see. This stay was nothing short of a dream and by far the best experience we've ever had at any accommodation.... and we travel a lot. Don't hesitate for a second to book Kuzuko - you won't regret it! One thing to be aware of - the roads into Kuzuko were dirt/gravel and had quite a few potholes. We took the R400 per the directions online (the R335 is much, much worse). Google Maps said it was only 1.5 hours and it took us 3 hours to drive, just to go slow on our rental car and make sure we didn't damage it. I would recommend giving yourself more than enough time to drive in and definitely rent an SUV - don't drive in on a little car. That's no fault to Kuzuko at all, we just weren't aware and were using Google Maps as our guide.…

Visited here on our honeymoon in 2019. After looking through photos recently it reminded us of the amazing experience we had here! The safaris were awesome and our guides where great, they really cared for our experience and had a passion for their job. It was like you were in your own wee bubble here- a mini paradise and an experience my wife and I will never forget. Thank you for the memories:)

Warm, welcoming and excellent attention detail made our stay at Kuzuko great. The food was outstanding, and every member of staff made us feel so welcome. While there are Big 5 animals on the property, this is not the reason you would go there. If however, you are looking for a quiet place of natural beauty, combined with all the spoils, Kuzuko is highly recommended.

Wow where to start! The lodge totally surpassed our expectations. The staff are so friendly & helpful. The lodge we stayed in was beautiful & time had been spent making it into a special honeymoon room for us. The views from the lodge are just incredible. It’s such a peaceful place. The game drives are just wonderful, our guide Angus has so much knowledge and we felt totally safe under his care. We had such a great 3 nights here & would have no issues recommending this place to friends and family. Thank you for a great end to our 2 week South African adventure!

We had the holiday of a lifetime at Kuzuko Lodge. We felt like royalty. It’s a relaxed. Informal place with passionate staff who really want you to have the best experience. The drives were incredible! We had Murray, Angus and Precious. We signed our son the the junior ranger programme which I fully recommend . He has the time of his life. Riding up front, using the radio, flash light etc. He was made to feel so special and had so much fun. We’ve all learnt so much. The food and drinks are high quality. We had a lovely massage too. Pool was a little cold but it was lovely airing outside of the lodge in the afternoon watching the animals at the water hole. A truly unforgettable experience that’s was perfect in every way.
