The four, two bed, units are built on the crest of one of the highest dunes in the area, giving stupendous views across the rolling red sand, and allowing them to catch the breeze so that even 40 deg C afternoons are bearable. The dunes do not have the same plethora of game as is found in the river beds,...

Depending on the month of your visit, it might be ok. We were there early Nov and it was blazing hot. Big windows for viewing were nice, but you would fry inside. The ceiling fan was not sufficient for ventilation. If you open things up you get all kinds of critters including mice and bugs. It's a beautiful setting with...

We slept here in September 2016, so night was a bit chilly, but lodge was nice and good equipped, only way from car to lodge with our luggages was not so easy. Look out of chalet is nice, to valley and waterhole only no animals around it. Night sky marvellous and admirable. If Yo have not enough time for driving...

Kieliekrankie consists of only 4 self contained units, with stunning views from the specious wooden deck with braai that comes with each unit. Prominent view of the waterhole where game and predators visit. We had jackels, african wild cat and gemsbok. We stayed 2 nights and were sorry to leave. The cabins have everything you need, a kitchen, bedroom and...

Our third camp on our stay, and probably the one that had the most wow factor on first view. The sight of the 5 chalets nestled in the sand dune takes your breathe away. Williem lives at the camp and welcomes you and shows you around the camp, including the whistle to call for help in an emergency. He is...

Beautifully situated with views which enables you to see forever. Lovely self-contained cottages with everything you might need to cook up a storm. Stunning view of the camp's own water hole and although only gas and solar, very comfortable. Real reason for our visit being so enjoyable was the camp manager, Willem. Attent ive, friendly and lots of advice. This...

We stayed at Kieliekrankie for 1 night. The view from the deck out over the red dunes and down towards the waterhole is memorable. Hot in February, as expected, the accommodation was clean and nicely laid out, with the deck being the undoubted star of the show. We took 4 hours to drive there at a really leisurely pace from...

We knew that we had made the right choice when we spotted the cabins from the distance. The cluster of only five cabins, perched on top of the sand dunes overlooking the vast orangish slopes is different from the rest of the accommodation in Mata-Mata and Twee Rivieren that we had passed by. We were assigned cabin No 3, which...

Exploring the park we decided to give this camp a good lookover for a future visit. Nothing beats seeing the camps for yourself to decide on the next visit. Private, luxury, tranquil with a view of a waterhole from the balcony. We were given a guided tour of the camp and if private pleasures are your forte then this is...

Not everyone would want to be in a small cabin-like structure with a single bedroom, bathroom and small kitchen plus a deck - one of only five - in the middle of Kalahari dune country overlooking a tiny waterhole. No cellular coverage except an occasional passing low signal wave. Just peace and solitude. We loved it. It is not that...
