The staff of Franschhoek Travellers Lodge were very friendly and helpful. If I need to visit the Franschhoek and Paarl area again, I will definitely stay there again. I will also recommend it to my friends and colleagues.

It's a youth hostel but we booked a private en suite room (as we're not youth anymore), which had everything you'd expect from a hotel. We also had use of a kitchen/dining room -but to be honest we could hear people going in and out of the kitchen so next time would ask to be in a room further away...

The location of this property was excellent: a very short walk to the mail road in town via safe streets. It was quiet, offered good value for money and was all that we needed to enjoy the area. The hotel is not geared to those who like luxuries. It functions as group accommodation, therefore is very 'boarding-school-like'. That said, the...

Overnight stop whilecycling through the area. Just perferctly close to the town centre so no trouble to go for a beer or dine. Rooms spacious and comfy, nice common room. Lovely shady garden and most of all a great locked spot for the bikes including water hose! Thanks!

The situation of the lodge is perfect for access to the centre of town and the tram which visits the wine farms. Although the bedding was clean we had an invasion of ants during the night across the bed. Rooms smelt of damp as did the whole place.

Normally do not stay in Travellers Lodges or Backpackers but was surprised as this one was well look after. Friendly reception, clean room and bathroom. Bit noisy when people go to their rooms. Enjoyed the small Labyrinth and made use of it. In walking distance to the main street and restaurants of Franschoek.

Poor standard in the rooms, the rooms where clean though. The sharing of bathroom and shower was a surprise, while it wasn't clearly stated in the description. Good location in Franschoek. Reached everything in the center by walking. Consider twice before you book. However, it was cheap and clean.

Our Pro Musica choir performed in Franschhoek on a Saturday evening and Sunday morning so we needed overnight accommodation. The en suite bedroom allocated to and my wife was plain, but the bed lights and the wall plug were not working. When the choir members returned after and evening out after the concert great disappointment. Even though there was a...
