We loved our stay at the Rickety Bridge Manor House and it felt like we had the place to ourselves. The room was clean. The breakfast was brilliant. We enjoyed a swim in the pool and watched a movie on the flat screen.
We didn’t stay at the Rickety Bridge Country House but enjoyed lunch on their veranda. We had West Coast mussels and it was very delicious, especially with their local wine. A recommended lunch stopover.

House is a beautifully restored 18th/19th century manor House, lovely room, nice breakfast and attentive staff. Franschoek is a super town for exploring boutique shops and quality restaurants but the best ones need booking in advance. Rickety Bridge wine tasting is excellent.
