We arrived a lot earlier than check in time because my daughter had picked up a tummy bug and the cottage manager was wonderful in getting her to a bathroom and making her some dried toast etc. She then made sure a bedroom in our cottage was made available immediately for her to lie down. She really went beyond the...

Although they were not up to running their breakfasts yet, and an email was sent out, no mention was made again about the place we could get breakfast from and where it was - especially for those that aren't from the area. This was a service that was paid for.

What a beautiful Place to stay. Our son loved the fact that he could see the wine tram from his bedroom window( for children, this is a highlight). We were very well taken care of and all our needs met unconditionally. We appreciated the fact that no one hovered over us all the time and were left to enjoy our...

What a fantastic, relaxed place to stay in Franschoek! We used the swimming pool&braai area during our stay. The Merlot cottage had everything we needed and the owners and their manager Marietha, went out of their way to make our 2 night stay out of this world. Will stay here again, loved it.

A perfect spacious apartment in an small vineyard, with a great view on the surrounding mountains and a nice pool. Great place if you wanna go wine tasting in the area or enjoy some of the great restaurants in the area. It is just out of Fransschoek, but still walkable. You could also rent some bikes, as we did.

Stayed two nights, very comfortable. Bedrooms light and airy, beds a good size and very comfortable. Everything you could need for a short stay. Would stay here again. Beware of dogs that protect the property as they roam around freely. They are fine but would be off putting to anyone who is wary of big dogs.
