Rose Cottage is actually not a cottage but a wing of the main house. However it has a completely seperate existence. The views are to die for and the rooms are very large and airy. The owner was helpful when needed but unobtrusive when not. The rooms are serviced daily and the staff very friendly and obliging. Less than 5... More

We stayed at The Stables for 3 nights. We had our own car and found it a perfect getaway. Only minutes from the town centre in a secluded area well away from the main road. The cottage was very quaint, clean and serviced daily. Beds very comfortable. The plunge pool was too cold, even in November. Wifi available free but... More

The photos really don't do the cottage or views from it justice. The garden stretches through vineyards to meet cloud covered mountains at the bottom. We stayed at the cottage. The rooms were lovely and we enjoyed the fire and bbq in the evenings. The only down side is that a taxi back from the town is a bit pricey.... More

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at Rose Cottages. This time we actually stayed in Rose Cottage as my husband and I travelled by ourselves this time. It was lovely. Joan and her staff looked after us so well the time just flew in. We could only get three nights - wish it could have been more. Will... More

I stayed here with friends for 2 nights in August and I cannot fault a single thing about our stay. The location and view from the cottage was incredible. It was peaceful and relaxing. The beds were comfortable, the cottage itself was large and roomy. The owners were friendly and welcoming. Internet and phone reception was bad here......but honestly that... More

We spent 3 nights in this comfortable and well appointed cottage. It had everything we needed, the fixtures and fittings were very luxurious. The cottage was in a very peaceful location, with stunning views of the vines and mountains. It was very convenient for Franshhoek, only 30 minutes if you fancy a walk. We wished we could have stayed longer!

We stayed two nights in The Cottage, which is in fact one discrete part of the main building. The views from the verandah over the vineyards to the mountains are stupendous. We struggled to tear ourselves away from the sun loungers. Good spacious accommodation, adequately furnished and equipped. Excellent value for money. An easy 4 minute drive from Franshoek. Would...
