This was our second stay at Franschhoek Country House & Villas. We visited a year ago but our travel agent only put us there one night which was way too short. The grounds are beautiful (the roses were in full bloom when we were there), the rooms are large and very well furnished and the food, especially the full breakfast,...

Our 2-story villa was gorgeous with views of the mountains & adjacent vineyards. The soaker tub in the bathroom is a must-use. Bed & linens were comfortable & luxurious. We wished we were able to spend more than 1 night here!!

This is a hotel full of character and oozing charm from every corner set in wonderful surroundings, The rooms fuse all desirable elements you would look for in accommodation; spacious , decorated beautifully and with all the required modern comforts. Each room has a fireplace which the hotel will come and light for you in the winter; this is a...

We stayed 4 nights as part of our 3 week trip. Could not have chosen a better place. Accomodation was 5 star+, food and service at breakfast and at the Monneaux restaurant for dinner were excellent. Tasting menu at Monneaux is unbelievable value for money. Complimentary shuttle to town was easy and very accomodating - little need for a rental...

This a beautiful, well-maintained, inn, with a variety of rooms, set on the edge of a lovely town with wonderful mountain views. While most rooms are standard, fairly large, hotel style rooms, we had a 'cottage', with 2 floors - both large -- downstairs was bedroom (firm but comfortable bed), with a large patio and a very large (9x14 ft)...

Wonderful winelands villa in Franschhoek! Warm well appointed villa complete with fireplace and separate living room. Bathroom was fantastic, large oversize shower and separate soaking tub to relax after taking the "wine tram" to the local wineries for tastings. Great wines in magnificent settings. Excellent restaurant on premise. Breakfast was outstanding. Staff was very accomodating to every request including recommendations...

This is our last hotel on a 16 day trip through Botswana and South Africa. The Franschhoek Country House is fine, but failed to win us over. The grounds are beautiful, the architectural design of the buildings is handsome. The staff is attentive, but they lack the spontaneity and warmth we've seen at almost every other hotel we've stayed in....

We were delighted to stay in the beautiful rooms at Franschhoek Country House and Villas. Not only great recommendations for wine tastings and things to do in the area but they also booked functions for us. The most amazing service however were the hot water bottles in our beds following our meal in the restaurant, a superb touch. Could not...

A really top hotel with charming staff who is always ready to assist. We stayed in the garden cottages with our kids and our friends in a the standard rooms. Both these were renovated in the last month and the amenities were of excellent standard. Our children enjoyed the big garden. Unfortunately the heated swimming pool was not hot enough...
