We stayed at the Blaauwheim guest house twice during our recent holiday in South Africa, a total of 7 nights. It is so comfortable, quiet and luxurious it was the best place we stayed at. It's probably one of the best places we've stayed in the world. Jo-Anne and Johan, make you so welcome and look after you very well,...

Dear Sam&She Your wonderful review makes me blush and then all warm and fuzzy because you are so appreciative of all the extra things we do which many guests expect to happen automatically. (Do I hear a signature "Right!"?) Thank you for not taking those as granted in the same way as we do not take reviews as granted! All...

After some 3 weeks on a Garden Route programme we spent our last 3 days at Blaauwheim's, which had been recommended by experienced Dutch South Africa-goers. When booking, we found that we could only stay 3 nights due to the Xmas and New Year period. We had some marvelous days, in a luxurious, well equipped suite, with the excellent personal...

Dear Carleau Thank you for this most delightful review! We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Blaauwheim. "Word of mouth" is a wonderful way of hearing about places but a whole plethora of expectations can be created. I am glad that we lived up to those and that you can report back to our mutual...

Blaauwheim Guesthouse was our last stop on our 2 week holiday in SA and we loved it very much. Our room was spotlessly clean and the breakfasts were to die for. Johan and Joanne , the owners, are very friendly, helpful and interesting people. Being teachers ourselves we loved talking with them about South Africa and life/jobs in general. They...

Dear Il&Iv Teachers rock! They remember names and faces, dates and places. When they become guest house owners, they become even more pedantic about doing the right things right like keeping those rooms spotlessly clean, etc. I still cannot tell a story other than explaining it... We loved having you here at Blaauwheim and loved sharing anecdotes, history and experiences....

This guest house epitomises everything that is good about guest house and South African hospitality. You couldn't choose a better guest house for your stay close to the winelands and False Bay attractions.
