Aloe Ridge is definitely a place I would recommend and I am sure to return soon. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. It provides tranquility with nature at your doorstep. It also allows you to be alone if you choose or meet other people at the clubhouse. A true gem
I absolutely love this place, my second time there. The cottages are stunning with great views, lots of space. We also hired a little boat and rowed around the river. Staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back. Its a little drive to Swellendam to the town so you need to get supplies there, however we enjoyed exploring the town as well. We had a wondeful time thank you
We always love staying at Aloe Ridge. The houses are a good size, private and well equipped. Our favourite things about Aloe Ridge are the private swimming pool and the views. I must say that during our most recent trip the house, Cedarberg, was in need of some maintenance. It looked a little tired compared to our previous stays. Nonetheless, we will be back as we love it there.
The most peaceful and tranquil trip we have ever done. The weather was gorgeous so we did nothing but reconnect relax and enjoy the lovely private pool. Would suggest traveling in a 4x4 or a raised vehicle as the dirt road leading to Aloe Ridge is not suitable for a normal sedan vehicle. Will definitely visit in summer again.
We had an unforgettable stay at Aloe Ridge. An exclusive, secluded destination away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The luxury and convenience box ticked. All you need to bring is yourself, your clothes and food. Even the pool towels are provided. We'll definitely be back!
Wow! If you're looking for an exclusive private, peaceful getaway just to relax and enjoy the beautiful God given natural beauty that we so often overlook, Aloeridge is your place. As if the cabin is not spectacular enough, walking out onto the deck with your own swimming pool just adds the final cherry. Would definitely recommend this to anyone. Kids and adults had a ball. The staff are amazing and very helpful.
Had a lovely stay with friends! We came on that extremely hot weekend in Jan. I would suggest some ant traps maybe, as they got bad after a while. But apart from that I would recommend it to everyone!!
What a wonderful weekend. Recharge your mind and soul with the most beautiful views and scenery. The patio with pool was such a treat for adults and kids. We will visit again in the near future. The house has everything you need!
Unfortunately we did not have the best stay. When we arrived the house was riddled with ants. The main issues we had were cleanliness. The cutlery and dishes were dirty. The surfaces were dusty and floors were dirty you could definitely not walk around bear foot. The linen could’ve been cleaner. The outside chairs were dirty and had bird poo on them. The fridge had a horrible smell and had old bits of food in it. The microwave was dirty and had black bits falling on to your food when it was used. The dishwasher did not work and had ants in it, which meant we were forced to wash dishes on holiday which is the last thing we wanted to do. There were clothes of previous guests left in the cupboard. Also there is huge fly problem, sitting outside became almost unbearable. Not to mention the chimney of the outside braai is blocked and you get smoked out whilst braaing. The view and location is lovely but unfortunately we will not be returning.…
The houses are wonderfully located, private and well appointed. The kitchen utensils need some additions. Our host always answered our phone calls and saw to our every need. The house is a bit run down, but it did not worry us at all.
