Place was perfect fro us as a family of three. Very spacious rooms! The parking areas was not very nice (not paved and demarcated) nor was there any gate at the entrance to the parking area but the town is relatively safe so we had no incidents throughout our stay.

So my mom and I decided to spend the night in Swellendam. We were driving back to Plettenbergbay from Cape Town. What an awesome place. The hotel is well kept and run. Gayle at receprion was excellent. Nothing was any trouble. The grounds are lovely and I enjoyed the pool area. The restaurant was also good and staff very friendly...

A nice hotel with a nice pool and area to relax in. The rooms are not modern but are quite spacious and the bathroom had a good shower which is always appreciated. Nice breakfast and friendly staff. Wifi not particularly good in reception and non existent elsewhere, but an enjoyable stay.

Old school hotel in need of revamp, although a perfect economic one night stay. Kids enjoyed the pool and Jacuzzi. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Don't expect modern luxuries at that rate!

Always space available. Rooms as good as can be expected at the price. hotel is a little tired but maintained well. restaurant can be touch and go but generally acceptable. bar is terrible and smokey however and should be avoided. staff are magnificent and always helpful overall you can do a lot worse in Swellendam

Rooms smell and were only made up at 5pm when check-in was at 2pm. The aircons didn't work and were extremely noisy. The one room's toilet didn't flush. Towels weren't available for use at the pool as promised.

Enjoy staying over on our way to Hartenbos. Staff friendly and helpful. Only overnight did not have breakfast. Suggestion for hotel management to make a sign for guests not to give any money for the hawkers in front of the hotel, rather buy food.

The staff is friendly and is trying to make up for the out of date hotel. We choose the hotel for location, price, free wifi, and ac in the rooms. Service in the hotel restaurant was slow, wifi was only available in the lobby, although we were not able to log on at all during our visit. The two rooms...

We stayed in Swellendam to cut our trip from Cape Town to Wilderness in half and also to go to the Bontebok National park near by the hotel. About the hotel. It is located in the main road. Parking is at the back of the hotel, just a muddy open area with some trees. We were told our room is...
