Friendly and welcoming staff. Great views. Local Grill Restaurant has great Meat offerings. New Pizevino Restaurant soon will really make this a 'go to' venue. Wine tasting was tops. A walk around the stunning location at sunset is a must.

Fantastic venu, love this place. Beautiful scenery and lovely people. O and wine I just enjoyed so much. Try their "Black Countesses"oh God. With two restaurants on the premisses there is no need to go anywhere, just chill. We will definitely be back.

Val du Charron guest house is located on a working farm in the heart of the Bovlei valley, ten minutes from the town of Wellington and less than an hour's drive from Cape Town. The guest house comprises nine luxurious suites, each individually furnished. The Coach House is a boutique Winelands getaway for the discerning guest who values their privacy. Consisting of only three spacious suites, each with its own plunge pool and private patio with built in wood burning fireplace, guests can unwind in their own space overlooking the majestic Winelands and mountains. Guests can enjoy a full farmer's breakfast served in the dining area; which integrates with the wine tasting facility and allows guests to access the working cellar during the day. For a holistic view of the wine making process or simply to enjoy the tranquility of the farm, a number of walks and bike rides have been set up around the farm that highlight aspects such as the various cultivars of wine grown, the bee hives necessary to pollinate the vines and the dams that catch and supply the farm with all its water. Guests may also fish the basis for bass on a catch and releases basis.During Wellington's hot summer months a swimming pool is available for the exclusive use of guests.During the winter months large fire places with couches provide ambiance for board games or reading while sipping on a glass of Val du Charron's premium wine. ... more   less
