Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The hotel is in a beautiful quiet location, there are good bedding. This is where the good news ends. My room had good air conditioning, but the water heater didn't work. I moved to another room - the water heater worked well, but the air conditioner did not work well. Only in the third issue everything was more or less. The rooms are clean - partially. If the floor was washed, then there were prints of dirty hands on the walls. Terrible furniture, countertop in bubbles. Air conditioners are old - noisy and smelly. I was never able to get food there, although there seems to be a cafe. And the biggest downside is the staff. I rented a room on Songkran, paid 600 everyday life a day, for such a place it's expensive. At the same time, the staff - one woman - allowed herself to yell at me. Terrible service! It is not necessary to count on the help of the business owner - all she is interested in is payment. After the money comes to her, she will not talk to you. The hotel is not recommended

Spent two nights here, and really enjoyed our time! The owner is such a sweet older lady, some of the other reviews are correct in saying she is difficult to find sometimes! But after a couple of minutes she appeared. The rooms are clean, but basic as one would expect for the price. The small balcony is an added bonus. Scooters are available direct from here (she calls an external company who deliver them) for 200 baht per 24 hours, without a scooter/car you won't be able to go anywhere! One of the mornings there was coffee and bananas available, the next morning there was not! Overall a very comfortable stay, very quiet location, and with a scooter that's great! The owner even gave us a lift to the bus station in the morning of our departure!

The room is very nice and clean with a little balcony. For the price you pay, this is a gem. The location is not a walking distance to the "centre" and the beach, but I feel that all the distances here are quite long so you need a scooter, but driving here is nice and calm. Also recommend driving to the northern beaches. This hotel is in my opinion actually better located than the ones on the beach - yes you are on the beach but much further from the mainroad. You can rent directly from The hotel. The owner and the staff are very nice and helpfull! not too much english but we managed trough everything. Visit the saturday market it is very nice and cheap!

We've been here already in May 2015. Clean, simple rooms. Very friendly owners/ staff. Helped with really everything we needed. Best price-performance ratio we had in Thailand. If you go there, you will need a scooter. It's about 10 minutes to the beach. Even if you are not experienced in scooter driving, Khanom is the best place for practicing your scooter skills. ;)

I spent six days at this hotel, largely as a result of recent reviews, and I wasn't disappointed. It's a nice hotel, spotlessly clean, the owners are lovely and it's in a pleasant, quiet location. Breakfast was provided. My room had a balcony where I could read and enjoy a cold drink after a busy day. The hotel is a little way from the beach but that wasn't an issue as I rented a motorbike and there's so much more to do in Khanom than go to the beach. I had an absolutely brilliant time exploring the area on my bike - temples, caves, waterfalls, villages and beaches and felt as safe as I possibly could - there isn't a lot of traffic and the roads are in good condition. I was grateful for a lift by the hotel owner to a nearby restaurant when I first arrived, and equally as grateful for a lift to the mini-bus station when I left. Much of the accommodation in Khanom is spread out alongside the beach (which is about 10kms long) so regardless of where I'd stayed, I would have needed transport. Palm Hill Resort's location in a quiet rural area suited me perfectly.

We stayed here for a night, taking a break before continuing to Koh Samui. The rooms are extremely clean and the hotel well-maintained. Everything worked well, including wifi, AC, heater, fridge, cable TV. The owners are very kind and helpful. Art gave us a lift to a restaurant for dinner, which we appreciated very much, as that was the only time we needed to leave the hotel and did not see the point in hiring a scooter for this alone.

First of all if you don't have your own transportation and don't plan to rent a motorbike this is not the place for you. They will call into town and have motorbikes delivered to the hotel and they are in good condition. The hotel is in a nice quiet location surrounded by palm trees. The rooms are nice and clean with air con and refrigerator. The beds are comfortable and the shower works well. Art speaks good english and was very helpful, he also has a car service for reasonable prices. We explored the area by motorbike for days and it is beautiful!! The best parts are to the north following the small roads to hidden coves and beaches. The restaurant that Art recommended was excellent and cheap!

Stayed here 2 nights and had great nights sleep as it's so quiet. The rooms are clean and have all the amenities you need. The lady running the resort is so nice. She helped me rent a scooter and even drove me to the bus station when I checked out. If you stay here, you'll probably need to rent a bike.

We stayed in kahnom for six nights here, our room was great air con, hot shower, a telly that we didn't use and a fridge. The manger was fantastic and helped us enjoy our time there buy giving us advice on the local attractions even tried to track us down where to buy rolling tobacco. A great guy. Our room was clean as was the rest of the hotel. Rent the bikes from the guy the manager knows they were really tidy mopeds and cheap. We could have added bicycles for free with our reservation. Once again this place and the surrounding landscape is amazing.
