Lovely hotel in Bumthang with very big rooms. The place is modern with a wood/ stone decor but lacks many touches: Wires protruding in the bathroom, huge shower, looks like they were going to add a bathtub but it's not there. There seems to be a problem with the hot water: my friend had a shower then I didn't have...

I stayed 2 nights in this lodge which might also be called Mountain Resort in Jakar. It might be newly renovated but it is very new, clean and quiet. It has a warm wood feeling and bear a very charming look overall. The time I was there, the hotel was almost empty. It might be due to road closure. It...

Large room in expansive hotel. Lobby was cold even with a fire. For such a large space, the closet was small and there was a lot of wasted space. Bathroom had a small, cracked window in it for no apparent reason. Huge shower area with bathtub next to it - ended up using the bath hand shower since I could...

We arrived in Bumthang at lunchtime so our stop at the Mountain Lodge was just for lunch. As all new properties have to built in the Bhutanese style, from outside, looks are deceiving. The property appears new ... the beautiful timber in Reception and the Dining area was superb. A pot-belly fire awaited us ... the Restrooms - terrific. Probably...

we had 2 nights here during the festival, and to be honest were a bit disappointed with this hotel. It is rather larger than we would have liked, and the owners have 'de-Bhutanised' the place - too much stripped pine and plate glass and open reception area and to large a dining hall - it seems they have an idea...

Like other reviews pointed out, this hotel is still under construction (at the time of my stay in late October this meant a few floors were not available and some of the common areas needed finishing touches). When finished, this will likely be one of the really nice affordable spots in Bumthang. If you can, inquire with your tour company...

We stayed in October and as is commented on in other posts there is still work going on to extend the hotel however, this work was never intrusive. The room we had was big and will be a great room once it is finished. We saw signs that there were some finishing touches needed. The staff were great and even...

This hotel is only half finished at present but any work being carried out was done discretely and only during working hours.Best breakfast of the holiday.Good dinner. We had lunch in the town which was the best restaurant of the trip.Vast rooms.Best bed of the trip and so the best nights sleep.Massive powerful shower.Didnt like the dogs especially the two Alsatians.

Our room was in the new section of the resort. It was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The service at the restaurant was very good. The only drawback was their laundry service. It was 3 times the cost of other hotels, and the whites came back grey. Would stay here again, but have our laundry done some where else.
