First of all, the room has a balcony with an amazing view on the mountains and Trongsa Dzong. The hotel is located within walking distance from the Dzong and from the museum in the old watching tower. Town is also within walking distance, with shops and restaurants. Spacious room and bathroom, furnished with two single beds, two armchairs around a...

We have stayed at the Tashi Ninjay a number of times this year. The most recent visit was our best. We received just that little bit more care and better service - makes me think a change in staffing? Our room was set up ready when we arrived (with an extra mattress for our children) and we were looked after attentively...

Firm beds, quite a nice room with a beautiful wooden floor. Bathroom was basic. Food, average. We were lucky enough to have a balcony overlooking the mountains and with a perfect view of the Trongsa Dzong. The view is worth 5 *****

I had called to book this guest house on Nov 10 but it was fully booked. I went again on the morning of the 11th and no one was at the reception. I went around hunting for a staff member and was finally served by a lady whom informed me that a room was available and that she would call...

I booked this hotel as the backup option when Yangkhill was full and Phuenzi I wanted to avoid at any cost. The first impression was not good, the building is apparently transformed to hotel from apartment house and apartment house construction is generally poor in Bhutan. Anyway the feeling changed when I have seen rooms. These are spacious, clean and...

We had booked this hotel on the phone from Thimpu as a one night stop on our way to Bumthang. When we reached this place at 10 pm after a very long and tiring journey we immediately decided to stay here for 3 days and do a day trip of Bumthang instead. The rooms with wooden floors and brand new...

My corner room overlooked Trongsa Dzong. Nothing to scream about the room or the hotel. Only memorable aspect is that it offers a mighty fine view of Trongsa dzong. Pretty at night, against the lights from the town. This place is safe enough to sleep with door to balcony open, enjoying the freezing cold air and mountain views. Torch light...

The guest house is your average Bhutanese hotel but the view and location make up for any potential shortcomings. It is a walking distance to Trongsa Dzong and the Tower of Trongsa Museum, some local interesting authentic little stores. The food served in the restaurant downstairs is more or less like everywhere in the Bhutanese tourist industry. What is the...

Its one of the memorable stays in Bhutan. We got a very good room with perfect view of the Dzong. You can view the longest Dzong of Bhutan with great amazement from the balcony. The hosts were really cordial. The place is new with very neat room and with all the essentials. The hotel is located between the Dzong and the...

A small family run guest house, clean and easily the best in town in this hotel catergory. Rooms are adequate with clean attached bathrooms and offer the best imposing view of Dzong ( fortress). There are other better more expensive hotels in the area but not in the heart of the town. If you are looking for a good inexpensive...
