If you are looking for five star, this isn't it. If you're looking for a nice place to spend a night or two or possibly even more, this would be your stop. For the price, the Summit Inn is a very good buy. Great location, easy to find, and clean, comfortable rooms that have just a little taste of home....

2 room cottage. No AC, single dirty fan provided. Someone must stay awake with the fan in the front door to cool the cottage. REEKS of old fires from fireplace. Old matted carpet, very narrow toilet enclosure, stained mattress, door broken off hinges, doors don't close properly so must be slammed, two mismatched stained lawn chairs, outdoor locks not secure,...

We were traveling from Wisconsin to check out area and Alamagardo below, with a pet We were very exhausted and it was so nice and quiet when we arrived, within walking distance of downtown Our room was clean and bathroom very clean Yes the televisions could be updated but we really weren't there for that, and we used what was...

Walking distance to food. Not at all fancy, but clean, and it's the best "value" in Cloudcroft. Parking is available, but handicap access my be limited due to terrain and weather. A good place to stay if all you really want is a place to sleep.

We wanted to spend a quite weekend in Cloudcroft, but close to town. This little cabin was just right - the price, the location, the space. The fireplace worked great and the wood was stacked up. It is a little funky, but that's what we like!

Ron runs a very nice Inn, and he also has cabins. You can check out his site at http://summitinn-nm.com/ I have stayed in a remodeled room and been very happy. It is quaint and doesn't have the flat screen TV or Microwave, but does have wifi and a little kitchen with a refrigerator and a stove top. Great for folks...

Room was not clean, smelled bad, food was caked in carpet, dried up food on back of faucet, garbage in trash can, shower was dirty, adjoining room had smokers and partiers that kept us up all night. Worst room I have ever slept in. Do not stay here!!!

This is by far one of the most unusual places that I've stayed. Rooms are quite old, but clean. It feels a bit like staying in someone's house. Great price and very close to downtown Cloudcroft. No air conditioning, which isn't too bad.

My husband and I stayed at the Summit Inn every other weekend while our house in Cloudcroft was being built. It became our "home away from home." We liked the room (#9) and especially enjoyed having a place to keep and prepare our lunches. We suggest it to friends who pass through Cloudcroft. Great value.

We had several issues with the Summit Inn. First, it is not handicapped accessible. You must immediately climb a steep staircase as you enter the building, not an easy feat for my disabled husband. The room furniture looks as if it is from the 70's, the T.V is from that decade too. The carpet needs a cleaning desperately and the...
