Historic building and wonderful accommodations. I would definitely make a return trip. There was an elevator in the building or you could go up the beautiful staircase. Conference room was great. Dining available on premises.

Last time we stayed at The Plaza was in the 80's. This hotel is being revitalize by the owners of the wonderful La Posada in Winslow, AZ. Although not the high quality of craftmanship as the hotel in Winslow, it is still a comfortable place to stay. Our room was on the 3rd

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We continue to make changes everyday to accommodate our guests since we purchased the property in 2014. More changes are in the planning stages for the hotel entrances to make things easier but that is a work in progress. Parking is limited due to the location of the hotel but we are working on different options but because it is a historical property changes take time. We leased out our Food & Beverage operations to the Range Cafe based out of Bernalillo. Please follow us on Facebook as we continue to remodel Hotel Castaneda, due to open in 2019. We hope you will return to Las Vegas very soon.

We stay at the Plaza Hotel in Las Vegas, NM when our travel through northern NM allows. It is unique in the fact that it has old world charm with modern conveniences and it is a great value. Several movies have been shot there and it is easy to see why. We also like the bar

Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience. Our hotel was built in 1882 but we have upgraded since then. We do have those modern conveniences in each of our rooms and all of the amenities. We have a restaurant and bar on the property so why would you want to stay anywhere else. One stop shop. We hope you will return and please follow us on Facebook as we remodel Hotel Castaneda, due to open in a few months.

Beautiful old hotel restored to her former glory with the necessary upgrades but still adhering to old bones as much as possible. Perfect position opposite the courthouse and center of goings on downtown. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Going to their internet site and clicking "rooms" yields three choices: plaza rooms, standard and economy. You choose which you want from there. Best!

Don't remember a fridge but there was plenty of ice and the front desk would no doubt accomodate you. Loads of parking on the plaza and at the side and back. Don't miss out on staying here.

Room 310 in the Plaza is said to house the ghost of a fellow named Byron T. Mills. Some television series about ghosts referred to it years ago. Might be on YouTube.

They have free coffee and tea with fruit and sweet bread. But I highly recommend the breakfast in the hotel dining room. It is not free, but not expensive and it is fabulous. There is also a place at the end of the block named El Cantando? I think is the name. It is also very good home cooked family place that makes great breakfast.
