We were lucky enough to choose Quidhampton Mill for our 2,5 week stay in the courtyard, one of two apartments. Our groundfloor apartment consists of two rooms. One bedroom with double bed and bathroom. Shower and bathfoam provided! The other room is a kitchen/living. Both rooms have large doors opening up to a cordyard. With no car at hand, we were picked up from the trainstation by our host Lesa and she even bought some groceries to get us started. With a view over the green meadow with sheep it felt like a mixture of city and country. Busses stop closeby, or walk 5 mins to the busy mainroad and catch one every 15 mins. The hosts really made an efford to make us feel at home and provided us with information even before we arrived. This apartment is highly reccomended! There is a busy road behind the apartment, but a wall and gate shield the apartment for most of the noise. Even so, we would stay here again should we return to Salisbury/Quidhampton. Because all the positive things outweigh the roadnoise by far! A big thank you to our hosts!

Having lived in Salisbury for 10 years, we thought we knew the area well. Lesa and Martin still managed to come up with new suggestions for us such as specific places in the New Forest, pub recommendations and activities such as fruit picking. We had a great two weeks using Quidhampton Mill as a great base. It was perfect for our family of 3 as a comfortable place to stay with facilities for cooking and just relaxing. Lesa and Martin were great hosts and very friendly every day. We look forward to returning on our next visit to Salisbury.

We were looking for a location that was part rural/part town and these apartments really fitted the bill. The standard of the property is very good, the kitchen area is well fitted and the facilities are great for a weekend, week or longer. The bed and ensuite bathroom were also very well planned. We would recommend and we will return.

5* We were both greeted by the owners who made us very welcome. Sometimes it's the little touches that make your stay the best, a nice bottle of champagne in the fridge to say congratulations to my wife and I for getting married the previous weekend. We stayed in the The Court Yard apartment , what can I say, we were looking for 5 days away to relax from the stresses of getting married and it has been the most pleasurable stay. If you're looking for a little retreat then this is the place to come. Mr & Mrs Bradey

I stayed in one of their apartments which was beautifully decorated and very well equipped and very handy for visiting nearby attractions such as Wilton House and the lovely city of Salisbury. The hosts very very helpful and friendly. However, I must mention that there was a noise issue both from passing travel and from the apartment above.

This place is such a blessing and I have never encountered such hospitality as offered by the owner Lisa and her husband. We were on a weekend break to centreparcs and my partner had an accident ending up in Salisbury district hospital forcing us to look for emergencies accommodation. Found Quidhampton apartments on bookings.com and Lisa got straight back to me to confirm our booking. On arrival we were met with the friendliest welcome and were shown around the property and all the glory it has to offer. It is such a blessing in disguise and have all the necessities on offer that you might need to make your visit to Wiltshire as comfortable as possible. In our instance it was the washing machine lol. 😄The apartments are Morden and stylishly decorated and equipped with everything you would need. 👍The towels are to die for and the bathroom just plain amazing. Sunrise is very beautiful here at Quidhampton apartment are over looking a field offering you a little piece of heaven to just sit and ponder and enjoy the tranquility it has to offer. Will definitely come back to enjoy it under different circumstances. I would recommend this place to anybody and would give it definitely ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We have stayed at Quidhampton Mill many times. We would highly recommend the apartments if you are looking for somewhere to stay in the Salisbury area. The Loft is spotlessly clean, comfy and the kitchen has everything you need. Access to a washing machine and drying facilities was very useful for us this time. Salisbury is only minutes away and has a good range of shops and restaurants Martin and Lesa are really welcoming and are full of information about the area, places to visit and where to eat.

Our family of 4 stayed in The Courtyard for 4 nights in October 2015. Lesa and Martin were extremely gracious hosts and have created a wonderful home away from home for their guests. Lots of information about the surrounding area was provided by email before we arrived and in the apartment as well. Beds are comfortable and the linens and towels were high-end hotel quality. Having just spent a week in London, we were happy to escape to the country. We appreciated the offer of purchasing some groceries for us before we arrived. I'm not sure where Lesa shopped, but she found the most amazing eggs and sausages! Salisbury is the perfect spot for day trips to Stonehenge, Bath and Bournemouth, among other places. I think there was a couple staying in the apartment above us, but we never heard any noise from them. I would highly recommend Quidhampton Mill for a family. This is extremely good value for your money.

Response from Montague16, Owner at Quidhampton Mill Bed & Breakfast

Thank you for your lovely review. Even with our self catering facilities food is still very important to us so I am pleased that you enjoyed the freshly laid free range farm eggs and farmer's market sausages. Our grocery order service is always very popular with our guests especially when they come from overseas.

We received a very warm and friendly welcome from Lesa and Martin. Lesa had even made a beautiful sponge cake for my husband Birthday after I'd mentioned why we were going away for the weekend. They were both very helpful and were willing to offer advice on things to do, places to visit and local services to use. Martin showed us around the Loft apartment and explained how everything worked and where things were. The facilities were excellent, with everything you'd need to make your stay feel comfortable and luxurious. The decor was lovely, everything was of a high quality but it still had a homely feel. The bed was so comfortable we even managed a lie in both mornings. The attention to detail was great, we were asked in advance what kind of milk and bread we wanted and there was the opportunity to order other breakfast items, which although we didn't use this, it was great to have this available. The tea and fresh coffee provided were excellent, as sometimes you can tell they're not fresh or they are from the value range. There was even a just in case box with emergency items like spare toothbrush or chocolate! Although it was just off a country road, you could easily walk to the local and you felt safe and secure because there was a security gate that you were given a remote for, a gadget that appealed to my husband! We'd definitely recommend and would love to stay again.

Response from Montague16, Owner at Quidhampton Mill Bed & Breakfast
Responded 13 Apr 2016
Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review. I must admit that we have become rather relaxed about requesting reviews on Trip Advisor and because of that we have fallen from 1st or 2nd place in Salisbury to 8th but our standards and service are still the same as they used to be. Our new apartments are so popular and some guests tend to stay longer now that they have self catering facilities so again this affects the number of reviews that we get because we have less guests through the door. So thank you once again - I will start requesting guests to write reviews as I don't think you can ever underestimate the power of Trip Advisor.

Just spent three nights here and really enjoyed our stay. All basic provisions were catered for and a treat to receive home made marmalade too, delicious. The accommodation was tastefully furnished and decorated and spotlessly clean. Due to inclement weather we were happy to spend the afternoon in and relaxed. It is very close to a busy road but did not find the traffic noise a problem. On arrival we were warmly welcomed by Martin and Lesa and the information regarding the area was very useful. Highly recommend for both short and long stay.
