A big reason why I picked to stay here is because it is family owned and operated. You can always expect to be cared for in a way that a chain place can't give you. The cabin was just what we needed for the time that we were there. It was very clean and everything worked just fine. The owner...

So happy that you chose us. You certainly captured who we are and why so many people are now electing to stay in small, privately owned lodges and cabins like ours. It certainly is a wonderful way to vacation, surrounded by the forest in your private cabin with all the amenities and privacy you could ask for. And it is...

The Hummingbird cabin was compact and comfortable. The cabins are in close proximity of local attractions like Ski Apache and Winter Park. Shopping and dining are also a few minutes away by car. Overall the place was a pretty standard Ruidoso cabin adorned with vintage southwest furniture and decor. This place was very clean and cozy thanks to the easy...

We stayed here for a night in the Hummingbird cabin. Check in was quick and the lady in the front was very nice and friendly. The cabin was a 1 bedroom cabin which had all the amenities we needed. The bed was very comfortable and the entire place was very clean. The kitchen appliances looked a little old but worked...

We went for Thanksgiving 2014. It was a wonderful experience for the whole family. Nothing better than sitting on your front porch on a brisk mountain morning and watching the deer. They were so close you could almost touch them. We stayed in Big Bear, and it was perfect for our family. Roomy with two bedrooms in front and one...

When you pull up to the cabins you feel like your home. My husband & I drive 5 hours just to stay at Canyon Cabins. We try to make the trip 3 times a year, staying 2 weeks at a time. We have stayed in 4 separate cabins with NO problems. They don't offer housekeeping everyday, but if you ever...

Please dont stay in this cabin unless you want to lose your personal stuff. The lock of the cabin door is not secured at all and can be easily piecked from outside. I dont know if the owner leave it intentionally/unintentionally!! The thief broke into the cabin when I went out for a walk. I am sure the thief is...

Pro: Nice cabin. We took the 2 bedrooms with living room and kitchen cabin. Kitchen with all the necessary plates and utensils for a nice dinner. Big and spacious Con: Our stuff was stolen (ipad, samsung phone, chargers, watches and more) while we were out at night for 1.5hour. Thief came in the backdoor as the door lock is flimsy...

We go to Ruidoso at least 3 times a year, and have stayed in a lot of different cabins in the Upper Canyon. I can honestly say, this was the best cabin ever. Not on the main road, so quieter than other locations. Great little common area with a picnic table and grill on the back porch. The cleanest cabins...
