Everything was very clean, everybody was very friendly so it was a pleasure to be there. Such a nice place in the nowhere. Thank you very much for this nice and quiet place. Karin & Hansi from Berlin, Germany

Great visit & game viewing with Isaac & Never. Suggest notice in chalets advising arriving guests of times for meals, game drives, walks, hot water availability. Meal times a bit rushed after game drives & walks

The camp was very nice and the food tasteful. The game drives and morning walk were good and the rangers friendly and helpful. We only did not like the owner, who was like a grumpy old men. He joint breakfast, lunch and dinner and wanted to lead the conversations in his way.

Having stayed with a number of high end Game Lodges in SA, my wife and I decided that for our Honeymoon, we wanted to try a more traditional approach to the African Bush, one that you would envisage from days gone by, without the luxuries of a pool, spa, gourmand food, Wi-fi, electric fences (and indeed electricity!) So in March...

This was an enjoyable experience, in a bush camp with no electricity and very limited mobile phone signal. -- The tented accommodation was clean and comfortable. Meals were very good. -- ALL the staff were cheerful, polite and friendly. -- The game rangers are very professional and were extremely informative during the bush walks and evening game drives. Overall. The...

Very basic facilities with NO electricity were the main attraction for me. Guests were cared for by 6 wonderful, dedicated and knowledgeable staff. Basic home cooking. The camp, which has been in operation for a considerable length of time - in my opinion could do with a general spruce up in some areas

This is a great place to get back to basics and experience the African bush without the distractions of modern life, allows you to get really immersed in the environment. We even had elephants wandering through the camp in the afternoon and another one took down a tree next to my tent overnight! No electricity and a breakfast cooked over...

Our stay at pungwe was a wonderful experience. We saw all the the big five and lots of other animals and birds. Our morning walks were very instructive thanks to our two guides Isaac and Never. Kitchen staff was also very friendly. The thatched tents were very well equipped and the shower was nice and hot. But pungwe wouldn't be...

Nice place with good knowledgable and friendly personell. We were Lucky to see the big five during our visit (3 nights). The combination of an afternoon game drive and a morning game walk is surprising.

“Don't expect a luxury experience! The booking form said arrive at 12:00, but I got there well before that and had no problem going in early and driving to the camp - even without stops to watch the wildlide its a good 30 minute drive from the gate to the camp The gate to the reserve is adjacent to Kruger's Orpen gate - on the day I left I went into Kruger through Orpen and drove south through the park coming out at Paul Kruger gate, on my way back to Jo'burg - a long drive and a late arrival back at Jo'burg but made the most of my visit. Meals are taken around a single big round table all together with the owner which encourages conversation and sharing of experiences”
