Kurhula Lodge exceeded every expecation we had piror to our stay and this is down to two things; the stunning location of the lodge and the fantastic hospitality shown by Kim and Sander (I also have to mention Nada, Lizette and the dogs Jimi & Saba who were wonderful company too). Driving through Parsons on arrival we saw giraffes, zebra,...

Stayed here for 3 nights. Kim and Sander couldn't do enough to help us. The food was excellent, served to all 8 guests round one large table - which was great. The pool was lovely - great way to spend the day before an evening game reserve.

Since we came back from South Africa, we have described many times our friends and family how wonderful your country was. Our souvenirs are so many and pictures so beautiful that we feel something nostalgic of the holidays we spent in SA. As a symbol when we show pictures and photos of our trip, your place and lodge end as...

Kim prepares stunning dishes and Sanders is so much fun talking to. We being vegetarians, found the best variety of food at Kurhula. Special mention to the barbeque...

The pictures do NOT do justice it is a lot more beautiful than pics posed online. Kim and Sander are an incredibly wholesome couple who provide both a home and oasis to...

We had a wonderful stay at Kurhula: it was worth the track road journey to reach the lodge as everything was great: our hosts were warm and welcoming; comfortable lodgings; lovely food; enjoying meeting and eating with our fellow travellers exchanging information; and so much wildlife all around us. A very special holiday I will never forget.

Fantastic place right in the middle of the bush. When do you get to wake up with an elephant next to your room, or are you drinking a beer in the pool when elephants are walking by? Sander and Kim make you feel right at home and cook lovely three course dinners. They know a lot about the bush and...
