We had the best time here. We loved the service and care offered by all the staff. The game spotters and rangers are so persistent in their search for game and explain the tracks and sounds that they hear which indicate there may be game to see. There is such a rich of animal and plant life diversity here. We...

20,000 + hectares of reclaimed farm land, now lovingly transformed into Eastern Cape wilderness. Thousands of animals, including all the big 5, protected by a hard-core anti-poaching team; 200 passionate and well informed staff, all of whom live on site. No more than 42 guests. That's a recipe for a perfect safari and that's what we had. Magic sightings included...

The approach to The Great Fish River Lodge, is an expedition in itself, due to the nature of the Terra firma, the gravel drive is an ordeal that is well worth the effort, as once you arrive at the Reception house you will say oh this is nice, well then your driver takes you to the Main Lodge of The...

This was our first safari and we stayed in the great fish river lodge. The service from the second we arrived was faultless. I'll review each element one at a time so I don't waffle! Location - absolutely stunning Accommodation - everyone had an individual lodge, which was beautifully furnished. The indoor and out showers were great and the plunge...

We stayed in one of the Ecco lodges for three nights. The accommodation is absolutely wonderful with great views over the reserve. Inside there is a large lounge area with a separate bedroom which offer the best views. Words cannot describe how good it is so hope the photos do it justice. During the morning and again during the late...

We have just returned from our first Safari... 5 nights at Kwandwe. What an amazing experience! Having travelled extensively throughout Europe and South America, we had certain ideas about value for money from travel experiences.... Kwandwe exceeded all our expectations! This place is special. The accommodation is beautiful, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the guides and trackers seem...

We love Kwandwe and today I was reminded why. Just spent two days at a local competitor because Kwandwe was full on my travel dates. It's a lesson: change travel dates and make sure you stay at Kwandwe! Their rangers are amazing and knowledgable. Their vehicles are spotless. The housekeeping is meticulous with cleanliness and detail. The food is sublime....

Our suite was private, secluded, extremely well furnished with wonderful views of the surrounding hills and wild life. It was complete with small pool and outside veranda. The main "hotel" building was beautifully furnished in typical South African style. We went on guided landrover style safaris every day with our fantastic guide from 6.00am till 10.00am and then later from...

An experience to be believed. Sighting as we have never seen before. A gentle walk in the bush where watching a couple of termites brought so much pleasure. Excellent, delicious gourmet food with fresh veggies. All presented by staff who could not have done more for you all with the biggest smiles. Truly a memorable experience. It could not have...
