We spent the last few days of our two week South Africa trip at Jamala Madikwe and it could have not been a better ending to a trip of a lifetime! Despite all of the photos I'd pored over ahead of the trip, it was unreal in person and my husband and I never got over the awesome

Jamala is just amazing, the location , the lodge, food, great rangers. You can watch even Leopards and wild dogs that come to the lodges waterhole. The rooms are beautiful, all have 100% privacy and their own little pool. I will send my clients definitely to your lodge. Thank

We had a wonderful time at Jamala Madikwe. The property is small- only about 12 guests at a time, so know this is a very quiet, relaxing place. Staff is very good, but keeps a low profile, it almost feels as if everyone here whispers when they speak. Nico, the manager was

Hi January is a great time to visit as we are in rainy season and all the new born plains game babies have dropped, the park will be beautifully green. In terms of rain we have afternoon thundershowers lasting about 2 hours, normally this doesn't affect game drives but occasionally it can. The day time temperatures are high at 35-40 degrees C, a great time to spend in the private rim flow pool in your villa over looking the waterhole. Nov, Dec, January is our busiest time but with only 5 Villa's (10 guests) it is hardly every bustling at the lodge. A real sense of calm and peace still prevails. We hope to have you visit Jamala Madikwe in the future.

Hi Helen Thank you for your note. You will be joining us on the 11th of November. It is a warm time of year so light weight clothing is advisable. Swimming costume, Sun glasses and hat are also a useful item to pack. Shorts and sandals are great for the day but suggest a light weight longs and closed shoes for the evening. It is normally not cold in November but again a light weight top can be useful. Generally accepted that muted colours are best but no rule in terms of that. Binoculars are great and will come in handy to study animals up close. The other suggestions is that you make sure you have packed your chargers for camera batteries and have some sun block on hand. We look forward to welcoming you here at Jamala Madikwe and please feel free to contact if you have any further questions. Kind regards Rodney
