We were booked at $79 a night and after examining the room we checked out and checked in elsewhere for $49 a night and the rooms were the same quality. Both were reasonably clean and about the same age. If the clerk could have matched rates we might have stayed with our original booking but that was not the case.

Being from Taos, I usually stay with family, but this was a quick business trip and I wanted a inexpensive one night place. I had stayed here when I was very young also and I must say it hasn't changed much..good and bad. The first room had a serious leak at the base of the toilet. Moved me and the... More

This is not our first stay at the Sun God Lodge, so we decided to compare this stay with others. It has not changed much, that is a good thing. We like quiet and off the regular hotel circuit. This lodge is very much that. No frills, no breakfast, no happy hour or restaurant attached. Free to explore the wonderful... More

This hotel was perfect for my stay , at $39.00 it has a beautiful courtyard nice and quiet and the office clerk was very helpful on directions and where to eat. For $39.00 I will always stay here when inTaos !

Stayed at the Sun God Lodge 919 Paseo Del Pueblo, Taos, NM 87571, United States of America – Terrible. Bed was as comfortable as a barn door. The shower head sprayed water onto the wall. The bath towel was torn and had a hole in it the size of an orange. The hot tub lid was in the tub which... More

We had two rooms, both almost identical. The rooms are clean and cute, with Southwestern themes. The bathrooms are ok, I'm adding pictures so you can see. Nothing fancy, just basic rooms. There are challenges: one building is empty due to plumbing issues, the hot tub wasn't working, and the ice machine was not working (but they had ice in... More

Don't be put off by the outside appearance. The rooms are comfortable, clean and value for your money. We had upstairs rooms at the rear of the complex and it was away from the road noise. The checkin was efficient and friendly. It is handy to Taos Pueblo which is well worth a visit.

Old but charming and attractive. We stayed in the back building, the front building provides a nice buffer from road noise and it was quiet and peaceful. The room had been recently renovated - new paint, new tile, everything was fresh and clean. This is not a fancy place - no microwave or fridge, perhaps not all the amenities of... More

Cutting costs on hotel rooms is sometimes a good idea. Not in this case! Descent location, park like courtyard. That's it. What room has, no refrigerator, coffee machine...that works, no hairdryer and worst of all the shower barely dribbled out enough water to shower in. Plus water backed up to my ankles..yuk. The bed was very old and woke up... More

Think I was in one of the more expensive renovated rooms out back of motel. The room was generally ok, but the bath and sink really needed some limescale remover. No breakfast provided even though room rate similar to other hotels nearby. No microwave available in room, again had this in all other motels visited on my trip and same... More
