I stayed here 2 nights of my 8 night camping trip. The tent was really large and well appointed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We saw tons of animals and the area was very nice. Food was good also.

Savute Under Canvas is one of my favorite andBeyond camps in Botswana and our entire trip was planned around availability of one of their 5 tents. The staff is very attentive and works hard to ensure you are comfortable and have everything that you need. We had a wonderful time but the experience was very different than the one we...

Ask for Sam to be your bush guide. He was probably the best guide of the 5 we experienced in our various camps on this trip. The food is delicious and amazing how they prepare it in such a small portable kitchen - go take a look at their oven! Evenings were very cool so dress warm for the rides...

Savute is a spectacular place, despite being limited to staying on the roads. We had excellent wildlife sightings, the pack of twenty wild dog being a highlight, and epic birding. Our guide Sam was exceptionally knowledgeable of everything from geology to birdlife. The problem is when you get back to camp, which is what this review is about. After numerous...

We are a family of four from Sweden who stayed at Savute under canvas camp for two nights in the end of December. This is a wonderful place to visit, where we experienced a very rich wildlife during the beautiful green summer period. The camp was excellent, small and cozy and the staff showed great hospitality. Really loved the campfire...

Definitely not the same as other andBeyond lodges, but that's the whole point. This is roughing it five-star style! The staff here was what truly made this location and experience so memorable. Sam, our guide and tracker is the king of Savute. He knows every special spot and is tireless in searching out unique and memorable experiences. We sat inches...

We spent 2 nights here in September , 2014, which is the dry season. The tents are not as luxurious as those in permanent camps. The tents are moved every 5 days, but are quite nice. Beds are very comfortable. There is a daily bucket shower. The food was excellent. Wildlife viewing was outstanding. There tended to be large herds...

Great camp, awesome game drives! if you go, ask for Samuel as your ranger. He was incredible, always ahead of the other rangers, he seems to think like the animals. Food is very good and tents are comfortable. No running water or eletric power, but you don't even get to notice. Plan to charge your cameras in between game drives...

You don't go for the luxury. You go to experience nature with guides will teach you more than you ever learned in school about animals, birds, trees, land... I will never forget the experience of sleeping in a real tent (moves every 5 days, eat campfire food that tastes like it is from a 4 star restaurant and be exposed...
