Led by talented guides, our guests have 450,000 acres of pristine wilderness of the Okavango Delta to explore on calm, experienced horses, offering exhilarating rides alongside big game, such as giraffe, zebra and elephant. Combined with Macatoo, our luxurious tented bush camp accommodation in an exquisite African setting, we offer the riding adventure of a lifetime.

Went for five nights in December 2018 on my own and it was an experience of a lifetime. Katie and the team did an amazing job making me feel comfortable and included as part of the camp. I had two amazing horses who were totally at home in the delta and didn't raise an eyebrow

Macatoo was the third and final stop on our safari adventure. I was so glad we came here last and had extra time to enjoy the horses and the camp. The room was fabulous, after we had a small electrical wiring issue solved (thanks, John). But the highlight of the trip came down

Went for five nights in November 2018. This was like a dream come true. Everything was exceptional! Saw tons of animals up close. Horses, guides and staff were fantastic. Macatoo Camp will not disappoint if you are looking for a thrilling experience on horseback.

We were a group of 6 for my friends 40th. Some were experienced riders and others were confident beginners. The horses were so fantastic and really looked after us all. The guides were extremely knowledgeable locals who were great company. Rooms were relaxed and food

we went to Macatoo as aprt of my dream trip to the Okavango delta. I chose this camp because my partner is a keen rider, although I no longer ride, so I am reviewing this as the non-riding half of a couple. I must admit to being slightly jealous as the riding sounded

A rough estimate for a 7-night riding safari in peak season in 2018 would be £4875 per person sharing, and yes we have various different packages. All the packages are fully inclusive of all accommodation, meals and activities and generally, your charter flights from Maun to Macatoo camp is also included. Feel free to visit our website for more details. Kind regards, Riana

Hi Les, stayed there dec.1999 - jan.2000 over the millenium change. During the 10 days of my horseback safari I felt no single drop of rain, but noon temperatures of up to +50°C, acc. to our guide. I got sunstroke one day, although I lived at the French Riviera then and was used to sun. Wear a broad brimmed hat when at Macatoo. Riding helmet is not necessary since one rides on sand, the bottom of the Okavango. The grounds were fairly dry then although we galloped parts through flooded grass. This stay was a "once in a lifetime", however I am checking right now how to get back there. But I am about 76 and riding would be too dangerous for me. I know. My late fiancee fell of her horse during a jump and broke her neck. She became 63 years of age. Enjoy life and a horseback safari at Macatoo as long as you can ! Walter, Berlin
