Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Gorgeous, comfy room with a fine breakfast, lovely staff and quiet, pleasant-looking location. Top marks really, couldn't fault it. It was freezing outside but the room was warm, but not too warm - as is often the case in hotels.

We stayed in the Balcony Room at Yew Tree Cottage last weekend. Pauline and David were so lovely and welcoming and the room was outstandingly clean, well equipped and beautifully decorated. The bed was also extremely comfortable and the bathroom had a large shower and White Company toiletries. We will definitely be booking to stay again in the new year. Woodstock is a beautiful place to visit and the Christmas lights and market at Blenheim Palace were magical. Lyn and Nige (nov 23)

Stayed here recently for one night with my daughter as we were visiting family. We usually stay at a Premier Inn but decided to stay at this quaint B&B due to its close proximity to our family. What a great decision as this place is a little gem. A homely cottage style property which is adorable. We had a twin room which was so comfortable, stocked with everything and more you would expect. The room was a good size, it was very clean with comfy beds so it was an excellent place to relax. Parking is a available to the front and rear so it’s easy to get any luggage you have into the room. The host was so nice and really couldn’t do enough to make us feel welcome and our stay a pleasant one. Breakfast was amazing, you have to fill an order form out the night before so when you arrive at the table in the morning you have the first part of your breakfast waiting. The dinning area is suited to this period property and it feels like a real experience. The food itself was perfect, the hot breakfast was fresh (served on warmed plate which is something that should happen at any restaurant) and very tasty…we were so full afterwards. I honestly can’t say enough good things about this place, it felt a real treat for a similar price of a chain hotel. I will 100% stay here again. My 10yr old loved her stay and doesn’t want to stay anywhere else when we visit again and I know my wife will love this place when we do visit again. Top marks ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was our first trip away for nearly four years, and our first visit to YTH in seven years, the place hasn’t altered in any way other than the preselected breakfast menu and that is a great help both for us and our host , the welcoming atmosphere has stayed the same which is great, our room was well kept and clean, we will be back again soon

Breakfast 1st class as was everything else. Lovely short break at Yew Tree House. Plenty of parking off road on a very quiet lane but near to Brean Sands and Burnham. Would highly recommend, attention to detail for comfort of guests is exceptional.

We have stayed here a few times now and it never disappoints. Ann makes you very welcome, she cooks an amazing breakfast with cereal, fresh fruit salad, yoghurts also continental and vegetarian option, toast and home made preserves. All foods are excellent quality and fill you up for the day. Our room this time was a double en-suite situated in the main house. Quirky due to the age of the house but just lovely. Huge room equipped with everything you need. Very clean and a very comfy bed( I don’t sleep well but did in this one!) Highly recommend a stay here!

Just had 2 nights stay here. A warm welcome from Anne who showed us to our delightful garden room. A supersized comfortable bed, plenty of hanging space & drawers. Nice tv, plenty of tea & coffee, toiletries, everything you need for a comfortable stay. Free WiFi and very, very clean. Good choice of freshly cooked breakfast, table service, which was absolutely delicious and very filling, so much so that both days we only had a drink & cake for lunch & sandwich for tea. Anne was very helpful & had many suggestions of places to visit. Highly recommended.
