Brianne and Luke Cockill are delighted to welcome you to Broom House at Egton Bridge! Our beautiful country retreat is ideally situated, making it the perfect base to explore the North York Moors National Park, charming coastal villages and beyond. Cattle may peacefully poke their heads over the fence, while the kitchen garden brims with berries – and lettuces for packed lunches. Broom House is nestled in the Esk Valley only ¼ mile from Egton Bridge in a peaceful location with lots of space and fresh air. The beautiful, private garden provides a welcome refuge from the hustle and bustle of contemporary life.

In our party their were 4 couples and we were all warmly met by Luke and shown our rooms and amenities. My husband and I stayed in the cottage suite which was self contained, decorated to a high standard and had a lovely comfortable bed. The location of Broom House is absolutely delightful and situated in lovely grounds. The hosts are warm, friendly and welcoming. The breakfast menu had plenty of choice and the food was perfectly cooked to each individual’s requirements. Everyone in our party thought the accommodation, rooms, service and facilities were to a really high standard and would definitely recommend to others. We all look forward to returning to Broom House in the future. Many thanks to Luke and Brianne for everything

A very welcoming and comfortable place to stay for our short walking holiday. Wonderful breakfasts, packed lunches and local knowledge to help make our visit to North York Moors enjoyable and memorable. All areas of the moors are accessible from Broom House; there is a choice of great pubs nearby for evening meals. We would like to return.

My partner and I stayed here for a weekend due to a nearby wedding. We were so impressed with our stay at the Broom House and wish we could have stayed longer to make the most of it. Luke and Brianne are very warm welcoming hosts and genuinely lovely people. We would highly recommend the Broom House to other young couples looking a relaxing getaway in North Yorkshire to switch off from everyday life 😊

This was my first visit to the UK and also my first B & B stay. I was traveling with friends throughout the UK & EU. Sandwiched between several popular cities we made a stop in the North Yorkshire area of Whitby/Egton Bridge with a goal of enjoying some quieter activities and a with a hope for some natural beauty. None of this disappointed!! From check-in to check-out our stay in the Covert Suite/Room 4 was lovely. Bri and Luke were warm and engaging hosts. The property is so clean and very well-appointed. They have such lovely outdoor spaces in which to relax, a lovely dining room and even a parlor room with a nicely stocked honor bar. The decor throughout is calming and comfortable with everything thoughtfully presented and well cared for. Breakfast was perfectly pleasing each morning too! To add some more about our stay, the micro-local area is also postcard lovely with several pubs to have a locally brewed pint and some food. We sampled The Wheatsheaf Inn Restaurant and Bar upon arrival in to town for a tasty local brew and luncheon and our hosts Sue and Neal were so great. Highly recommend. We also had dinner at The Postgate Country Inn where our bartender and chef were also lovely and the food very flavorful and satisfying. I highly recommend day trips out to Whitby for pier/beach/shopping, Sandend and Robin Hood's Bay (Please be aware it is a steep climb down and up but plenty of lovely shops along the way). There are lots of hiking paths and more. I am so glad that we made a visit to this area and hope to return again some day, maybe even for a bit longer. It was a great way to break up our other destinations north and south. I highly recommend the Broom House at Egton Bridge and Bri and Luke as wonderful hosts. …
