We had starters of home made tomato & chilli soup with baguette slices & butter & another of Arancini & salad which were top class ! The mains we chose x3 Roast Pork & x1 Roast beef . We were rather disappointed at the roasted parsnips … chef , we all talked about it & they really should have been left off the plate they were well overdone & charred & you could hv broken a tooth if you’d try to eat it! The veg was brocolli & cauliflower cheese but I think they were rather skimpy with the portions of veg!thr Cracling came in a separate dish it was good but plus on the crunchy side …. This is the apple season & we were disappointed we had no apple sauce tho the gravy was good ! We will return again as we did visit for a coffee & then added on a Ploughman’s each which was brilliant , perhaps because it was a 2.45 pm slot we booked it was too late in the day !

We couldn’t have had a better time staying at the Merry Harriers at the weekend. We stayed in the Inn Room overlooking the llama paddock and had dinner, breakfast and Sunday lunch before going trekking with Goji and Champagne! Really cosy room, slept so well. Food was absolutely amazing and staff were also very friendly and helpful. Abbie who took us trekking was brilliant too, very knowledgeable about these wonderful animals. The Surrey hills are beautiful and we got some great photos. Thank you for a lovely weekend. We will be back.

I have nothing but great things to say about the Merry Harriers and our lovely stay in Shepherd Hut 2. The staff couldn’t do enough for us, namely Oliver and Jay-Jay but to be honest, all the staff were absolutely brilliant. The hut itself was exceptional. It was clean, beautifully decorated and maintained, dog welcoming and we even got a complimentary bottle of wine, nibbles and mineral water. The food at the pub was incredible and we were allowed to have a late check-out so we had a lovely chill in the sun on the chairs outside the hut before we had lunch and left. We felt so welcome and will 100% be back and are looking forward to it already. Thank you for having us and our dogs…don’t change a thing!

Simply wow. We stayed in one of the stunning shepherd huts for a night and can't wait to come back. Fantastic experience with everything thought of, from the treats and wine, to the logs for the fire pit. So relaxing The team there really looked after us. Oliver, JJ and Millie were so friendly and helpful. We have to make a special mention of Remy who was outstanding with his customer service from the minute he showed us to our hut, and throughout our stay. The food was exquisite. We will be back

Some friends and I were looking to go a cycling weekend, so we decided after some research to go to the Surrey Hills, the location seemed to be the best spot for us as some coming from London and myself from the South Coast nr Brighton. On the Saturday morning we all met early outside Dorking station and spent the day cycling, stopping off at various places and pubs along the way until we reached our final destination for the night, the Merry harriers in Hambledon. After a long day cycling through the Surrey Hills, we were warmly received at the merry harriers. As we arrived a little later than expected, Mikey and the team were quick to show us our garden rooms and get us set up for dinner. We ate on our tables outside our garden rooms - a great option for us to relax tired legs after a long day cycling. We ate the sea bass, soup and pie of the day - it was all tasty and the local ale - Sheer Drop was excellent too. Service friendly and welcoming. We had a great time and will be back again for our next trip.
