The rooms are standard motel rooms but extremely clean and well maintained. The location is great for fishing or rafting on the east branch of the Delaware River. Plus it is easy to get to the West Branch or the Beaverkill

If you've read some of my reviews, you know I'm a fan of a well run traditional motel with personality. For example see Littleton Motel (NH) or Mount Brook Lodge (NY). Well, add the Downsville Motel to the list. This is a neat, friendly, clean and well run motel in the heart of the western Catskills. Our room had two...

Downsville is a small village in the middle of lush green forests, approximately 2.5 hours outside of New York City. This motel is a beautiful property on the banks of the east branch of the Delaware River. The location on the river is beautiful, and each room has a private balcony with a water view. There aren't many streets in...

I wanted to do some canoeing for the 4th of July. We usually go in the Poconos on the Delaware but I thought the catskills would be quieter and a nice change. I saw Al's canoe rental and a little motel attached. I rented one room and our friends rented a second room. As stated in other reviews, the room...

Spent my 3rd visit at the Downsville Motel. Great time and prices. The area is beautiful and sort of a step back in time. No fast food joints, but an excellent restauarant in town. Will be back and would highly recommend to others. Great for R&R.

Very clean and comfortable. Room I had, had kitchen and balcony overlooking the Delaware River. Quite pretty. Rates are very reasonable. Gravel parking lot. Cannot walk to restaurants. There are a few choices in town for meals, about a 3 minute drive down the road. Very Very friendly and helpful staff. It is a great, rustic motel in a very...
