Stayed here for 2 nights for a wedding in September and would return in an instant. The location, gardens and room are perfect. The service amazing, breakfast fantastic. Location brilliant, just walking distance from the bustle of the shops and cafes. I look forward to returning here next time I visit East Hampton.

This is a small, very romantic inn with gorgeous rooms, grounds and a beautiful pool and spa in a great location; within walking distance of town, movie theatre and the beach. The breakfasts are glorious but -- if you sit outside, prepare to wait a long time for service as the young staff is happily chatting in the kitchen. DO make... More

The Baker House is one the most beautiful, refined, and tasteful inns I have ever stayed in. The grounds are stunning and secluded with spectacular old trees and two pools to choose from. The rooms are all different but extremely comfortable with the best beds and sheets you can imagine. You almost wish for a rainy day so you can... More

This hotel is very pretty, with two nice pools. The rooms (we stayed in two) are charming, and each have their own feel. The breakfast is delicious, and it's nice the hotel has beach passes for guests. The beach chairs need to be updated (they are mostly broken) -- the service, however, is not what it should be for this... More

We were so glad we booked to stay here as it gave us what we were looking for - a Hamptons experience without needing to own the house. This house is beautiful, the staff both efficient and friendly, the gardens gorgeous. We stayed in the Gardiner room and it was perfect - large and decorated in a style that was... More

I am not a fan of the Hamptons. Unless you have your own home, have invitations to parties and/or love to shop...there are few things to do and fewer places to stay. Until this year for the film festival . We stayed in a great room (forget the price), in a great location, in a great little B & B:... More

We stayed over the weekend. We had requested upon booking late check-out since the hotel was virtually empty, reception originally told us "it is fine, nobody is here tonight". Then called us to invent a story that was obviously made up in order to cancel that - they got angry when I pointed out the obvious contradictions in their story.... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
East Hampton Village's charming Baker House 1650 is regarded by critics and guests alike as the most exclusive and luxurious bed and breakfast in the Hamptons. From the ivy covered walls to the 200 year old wisteria and formal English gardens, the feel is distinctly European. Less expected are state of the art amenities such as flat screen high definition TV's with full cable and DVD players, Bose wave music systems with iPod docks and free wireless internet. The large, beautifully furnished rooms with wood burning fireplaces, William Morris wallpapers, and Frette linens delight visitors, and the lavish bathrooms are enhanced by whirlpools and L'Occitane products. The outdoor infinity-edge pool, with teak chaises for sunbathing, is ideal for unwinding, and the Baker Spa, featuring an endless pool, massage area, steam shower, Jacuzzi and sauna, provides unparalleled relaxation. In the summer, guests receive coveted East Hampton Village beach parking passes, as well as plush beach towels, umbrellas and chairs. The Baker Carriage House, located directly behind the main house, offers even more luxurious accommodations and suites, making it a purely indulgent retreat. The Baker House 1650 is ideally located on the historic village green, within walking distance to the ocean, as well as world-class shopping and restaurants. ... more   less
