You have hit the nail on the head.....Unique is just one word to describe Camp Amalinda and we are so thrilled that you had such a wonderful time. Service and tourist guide excellent, room exciting, fantastic location. Cuisine five stars, with young but really good chefs. Evening cocktail in front of fireplace. I saw a leopard while sitting in the shadow at the pool,,,,,,,,

I´ve been there a second time and I felt right back home. The staff is as always very friendly and helpful. Also the manager takes his time for the guests and is very entertaining at the joint dinner. This lodge is quiet and relaxing. The rooms are very original. Especially is the inclusion of the rocky environment.

Where do I begin with Camp Amalinda? Matopos wasn't even on my radar when booking a recent holiday to Zimbabwe but I'm so glad my travel agent recommended I spend some time here as Amalinda was my favourite stop of my trip. I stayed in Room 8, which was nestled on the hill above the reception building. The room was...

Hello David. WOW!!! This is such a fabulous review and we are thrilled that Camp Amalinda has been the highlight of your trip. It is such a special place and your description captures the magic perfectly. Although not a Big 5 Safari destination, Amalinda is a national treasure in itself, offering activities and excursions like no other destination in Zimbabwe....

It may have been a combination of great company (family) and good weather and a great lodge - Camp Amalinda that made this stay memorable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay amongst the rocks. There is so much to discover and experience within the lodge settings and yet it is also relaxing. On our first day we took a simple walk...

Amalinda is a wonderful experience, an incredible setting with fantastic staff and excellent food! Wildlife is NOT the focus of this camp, but the history and scenery is what it's all about. Definitely worth making the effort to visit Rhodes Grave in the Matopos Hills!

The history and magic of Matobo Hills combined with the charm and elegance of our very special Camp Amalinda is certainly a box to be ticked. There is so much to do and see, learn and experience in this very unique part of the world. A history of granite and mystery in a country that has experienced so much in...

Enjoyed our stay amongst the rocks and the rhinos at Camp Amalinda. Would recommend it to anyone travelling to Zimbabwe looking to explore the Matobo Hills. Seeing a white rhino from 10 metres has to be a highlight of the trip.

What a fantastic experience. Our group of nine had a brilliant three days in this unique, quirky camp. Every room is different and designed around the granite of the Matobo Hills. The rooms are very open, so don't expect privacy from a roommate. Billy and the whole Camp team were excellent and made sure we had the holiday treat of...

Markio, thank you so much for this wonderful review. Yes, Amalinda is just "unique and quirky!" Guests just don't realize how incredible it is until they get there. It has to be seen and experienced. Of course our staff are very "house proud' of their Lodge and a happy guest results in happy staff. Its a win/win situation! The Matobo...

We stayed in Room 9 Iate Aug 2016. The room was lovely- built in to the rocks- very romantic. The food and service were excellent. When you go there, make sure you go into the park to track rhinos on foot and then go see the petroglyphs. It is delightful.
