My wife and I wanted to visit the Berkshires and bring our 15-month old with us. The Inn at Green River does not normally allow children because it is not child proof, but Deborah was extremely gracious and allowed us to bring our son with us, provided we kept a close eye on him to make sure he wouldn't damage...

Your little boy was a charmer and perfectly behaved. Your mid week winter stay in a slow time of the year also worked out in that there were not other guests here trying to have a quiet get away from their own small children! I greatly appreciated your close attention to your son as this is of course not a...

I tip my hat to Deb for being the best Innkeeper in all of Hudson Valley! An amazing 2 night stay in a gorgeous Inn accompanied by 2 days of amzaing gourmet 2 course breakfast. All home cooked and prepared in this beautiful country Inn. If you are trully looking for a romantic getaway check out The Inn at the...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. For city dwellers like ourselves we really valued the very quiet country location. We were in the Van Deusen room which had a nice view into the woods and was good-sized. Breakfast was very good as noted on other reviews. Deborah had excellent recommendations for Great Barrington which is only about 10 miles or...

So glad you enjoyed your stay in the Van Deusen room, and thanks for pointing out how convenient the Inn is the lovely Berkshire town of Great Barrington, MA. I hope to see you back this summer when you will also appreciate staying in the quieter New York side of the Berkshires.

My husband and I stayed at the Inn on Friday night, February 3 and departed on Sunday morning the 5th. We live in Bucks County PA, an area home to MANY B&B's, especially in our town. That said, I really didn't want to stay in a bustling town this weekend. The purpose of our stay was to unwind after the...

So glad you both enjoyed your stay, and that you particularly liked the secluded feel of the Thorsden room with its deep, double whirlpool tub! I look forward to welcoming you back in the summer when there is so much going on, you will need to plan a longer stay!

Spent the New Years weekend at the Inn, our first - and probably not our last - visit. Concur with most of the comments in the previous reviews: rooms are clean, comfortable and beautifully furnished; Deborah Bowen is a charming and warm host; and the breakfasts are top-notch. I particularly liked the art work adorning the walls in our room!...

I am pleased your enjoyed your New Year's stay at the inn. I took to heart your comments about the lack of drawer space in the Merrill room, and have been on the hunt for bed side chests or perhaps a small bureau to provide that. It is giving me an excuse to visit the many antique shops in our...

We spent a perfect weekend away this past fall. The room was wonderful. Even though it wasn't that cold, we enjoyed spending a lot of time by the fire in our room. Breakfasts prepared by Deborah each morning were fabulous. Please note that if you are concerned that there is a cat, don't worry. I am allergic and it wasn't...

Let me make this simple: my wife and I have been to 20 or so B&Bs, mostly in the Northeast, but also in places as distant as Hawaii and New Zealand. The Inn at Green River is far and away the best one we have ever stayed at (eight visits to date since 2001, most recently this October). The warm...

After having spent two nights at this quaint, beautifully appointed farmhouse inn, my girlfriend and I returned home well-rested, well-fed, and satisfied with a weekend well-spent. The inn is located a the junction of some beautiful back country roads, nestled among the foothills. The warm and inviting spaces strike a perfect balance between rustic charm and modern amenities.
