Lovely place, lovely people, lovely food. I really can't say anymore because actually what was so great was the simplicity that actually felt luxurious. You will hVe to stay there to see what I mean..

My wife and I have just returned from 10 incredible days at Footsteps. David and all his staff were amazing, and made our stay there very pleasurable. The roundhouses were spotlessly clean, the food was wonderful, and nothing was too much trouble. We arrived not long after the political problems were resolved, and all the local people we met were...

Amazing relaxing holiday. Food superb, rooms excellent. Dipping pool encouraged lots of birds. ( also very refreshing when hot) Staff with bird knowledge around, and trips can be booked for walks early morning and evening. Beach 20/30 minute walk away. When we were there out was a little bit windy...happens for 2 weeks in Feb...which made lovely waves. Beach safe...

Stayed there for a few days prior to my return flight to the UK from Banjul airport for a few days. I wanted somewhere quiet as previous place was in a noisy main road area. So here you will find absolute quiet, after 10 p.m. no noise at all. Manager and staff were extremely helpful and courteous especially in keeping...

Perfect place for a relaxing break in the winter. Owners and staff are all extremely helpful and friendly. Lodges are spacious and clean and the food is very good indeed .The area is beautiful with long sandy and empty beaches and the countryside full of amazing birds and plants. Want to go back very soon!

There were times when I could not be any more relaxed, really enjoyed the experience, not your typical hotel aimed at people looking for a unique relaxed experience, catching up with real time and chilling, also integrating with the local community and eating some awesome food.

Excellent service, room, location, the food was good - tomato and coconut soup was amazing! Bird life and plants are stunning and there is plenty to do. Sue Marshall's yoga was 2nd to none and Sue and Ben went the extra mile sorting out trips for us. I wanted to buy a kora and everyone went out of their way...

Footsteps is a great place to go to for a few days or a week if you want to enjoy the Gambian sunny climate in a peaceful and quiet setting and avoid the massive resorts. We had a wonderful stay. The roundhouse accommodation is comfortable, the beds sleep well. Make sure to insist on a double bed if you like...

Our family of four had a great holiday. Footsteps has a warm and relaxed atmosphere, everything runs smoothly but still retains a feel of The Gambia. The food is fantastic. However this is an African country and there is an element of having to find your way with regards to trips and local sights, there are no leaflets etc. The...
